Being Human

Take a quick look at this article for a scientific approach to some of the traits that separate humans from other animals, and then respond to the following questions.

What are some physical/biological characteristics that distinguish humans from other animals?  Do you think there are any other distinctions not covered in the article? How would you define what it means to be human?

A physical trait that may distinguish human from animals is the fact that humans walk fully upright and have a lumar cuve. As well humans have "big brains" compared to the primates we are compared to. The body structure of a human well differs from primates as well with apposable thumbs and a thinner and lighter hair follicle.

There are more mental and biological differences between humans and primates that people have not yet discovered or choose not to see, but it doesn't mean they are not there. Being a human is not one thing but a lifelyhood built on relationships and experiences they have. Everyone on their separate path that intersect and come together.

Humans are good at other things too. As well as things mentioned in the article, humans also have the best throwing arms of any species. This is a third sentance

A feature between humans and animals is that humans have a lumbar curve in our lower back, which helps us maintain our balance as we stand, and walk. where as most animals walk on all fours.

Humans can walk upright, blush, speak, and control fire unlike primates and other animals. I think the article misses the family dynamic of humans, we raise our children to 18 and care for them until the end of our lives. I would define being human, not by the physical differences we have from animals but by our nature and our advanced emotions, the human mind is what makes us stand apart.

Humans are able to talk, walk upright, we wear clothing, we have fully functioning hands, and having amazing brains. With all of this it explains how us humans are special and extraordinary compared to other animal in the animal kingdom.

The first thing that makes humans different from other animals is that humans have thumbs. A second reason is that humans have short thin white hairs unlike our chimpanzee counterparts. The last reason is that humans have a very large stretch of imaginenation. Other things that humans have that are not shown in the article is that humans have their own cultures. How I would define "Human". What it means to be human in some situations is that humans make mistakes.

Some other characteristics that make us different from other animals are our variety of eye color and hair texture, while many animal species only have one eye color or one type of hair texture we have many different types. Another distinction that was not covered in the article is that we have kids out of love, which is not very common among nature since most have kids with the best choice. How I would define what it means to be human is by how you feel since most animals don't have a wide range of emotions like we do.

A physical distinction that makes us human is that we have a lumbar curve in our back the makes us have a more upright posture and help maintain balance. Humans also have more diverse vocal cords that help us communicate and express emotions.

A defining feature of humans that separates us from animals to me is that we wear clothing. I do think there was some uncovered topics like our difineing personality that helps us navigate the different things we want to do. my definition of human to me is being able to choose to be different and able to go my different paths with ease.

Since humans have long thumbs it's easier to grap and manipulate objects how we want. We also have fine muscle control which helps us do different activties making us differ from Aps.

The physical/biological charactrists that make humans differ from Aps is the vocal cords are much larger allowing us to make certain and more sounds. Another thing that makes up different from Aps is the way we live is completely different then Aps. Being a human means having a set organization of the things we do day to day. We have different responsiblites then other animals like a job or schooling. Things that are normalized by other people doing them everyday.

I think humans can think a lot differently than other species and the way we chose to survive life is going to be a lot different than animals. In my opinion to be a human it means to have an easy way of life. You already have the steps of your life written down from older people in your life you just have to chose how your going to deal with them.

One physical feature that distinguishes us from animals is our ability to talk. Even though we have a similar larynx and vocal tract, they still can't talk. That's because their brains function differently. Unlike most animals humans actually raise their children and stay apart of their lives up until one of them dies. I would define being a human by the way the brain works, if you can talk, think, ect.

Humans have a lot more intelligence and amazing features,we are the only race that can use verbal communication. Humans can create relationships and feel emotions and understand them. One thing I'd say is important that our intelligence can go farther and farther the more we grow and adapt.

A trait that sets humans apart is the overdeveloped cerebral cortex. which gives use an ability of supirior thinking skills. This makes us advanced.

The muscles needed to create sound are much larger than other primates, meaning humans can make more sounds. The average human does not have as much upper body strength as other apes or primates. They use their upper body for walking, grabbing, climbing, and all sorts of other things. Being human means living in an organized society, whether it is a good one or not. We live a very set in stone life style that the rest of the animal kingdom is similar too, but not quite the same.

A physical characteristic is that we have very thin hair compared to most animals. We have a lot of it that's not noticeable like our hair is not as long and thick as our ape cousins. If our hair was as long as the ape family we would not be able to sweat and would cause problems to the human body.

There are many characteristcs that distiquish humans from other animals, including an overdeveloped cerebral cortex, upright posture, and way of speaking. A distiction that wasn't in the artical is the cultural evolution of humans and how they interact with one another. I would define being a human as having the mental capacity to understand a wide variety of emotions and actions.

Some of the physical characteristics that distinguish humans from other animals are the fact that our hair is significantly thinner, giving us a more "naked" appearance. We also had an increase in the glands that help us sweat, which is why we're able to stay cool while running. Our thumbs are also longer than other primates, which allows us to grasp objects. Our fine muscle control also plays a big part in that.
There are other distinctions not covered in the article, like the fact that humans have a more advanced social structure than other primates.
I would define what it means to be human by both physical and psychological characteristics. Humans are brave, determined, and can overcome any problems that come their way. But I humans are also people who stand on two legs and are capable of advanced thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

Some things in the article it said that distinguish us from other animals are having short, almost non-visible hairs. We have the same amount of hair as a chimpanzee it just isn´t as visible. Another thing is having a lumbar curve. This helps us keep our balance. These are just a couple of the many things covered in the article. I think they´re more distinctions that weren´t covered such as our ability to have complex emotions. I think what it means to be human is being creative, intelligent, and the ability to make mistakes and learn from them. Humans also have a drive of ambition, and want to succeed.

The humans have more distinguished hands than other animals with our thumbs being able to stretch across to our pinkie. More traits that separated us apart from other animals could be how we learned to control electricity. Being human can be defined as being very smart, world controlling, and social creatures.

Humans have been designed to more efficiently interact with the world around us. Traveling and standing vertically allows us to have our hands and arms constantly available. The unique attributes of our hands, such as the length of our thumbs, and our muscle control allow for our species to use our hands in movements and actions no other animal can complete. Additionally, our abilities to communicate vocally, and process what messages are being transmitted, whether through voice, positioning, or facial expressions allow us to get a wider variety of messages from one to another with more efficiency than any other animal. This allows us to work together, and understand each other, making it easier for us to improve our living state. Not only for one individual, but all of humanity.

I think humans are distinguishable than Apes.Humans must remain in the care of their parents for much longer than other living primates. For instance, humans take nearly twice as long as chimpanzees to mature, which means that Apes grow and mature faster.
When do Apes usually leave their mothers to live on their own?
Being a human is being able to speak, read, walk better, wear clothes, have a job, and go to school.

Some physical/biological characteristics that distinguish humans from other animals could be thumbs, hair, blushing, brain, etc. There are many things that are different between humans and animals, humans thumbs are longer than many primates. Blushing is an outward emotion that only humans can claim. Humans are the only animal that is able to blush. A human's brain is one of the most extraordinary things that differentiate them from the rest of the animal kingdom. What it means to be human is having different bodies and capabilities than other animals in the animal kingdom. Humans exceed beyond the limits of the natural world which describes how far the human species has come.

Being a human poster assignment

Being a human means having a passion that has its ups and downs but in the end you were able to fight for it and achieve that passion.

Stories are important to humans because unlike dry and boring facts, a passionate story can motivate people by connecting the story to real life.
