Daily Literary Quote
“In the Middle Ages, cathendrals and convents burned like tinder; imagining a medieval story without a fire is like imagining a World War II movie in the Pacific without a fighter plane shot down in flames.”

Journal Prompt
What comes to mind when you think about the Middle Ages?  What are some stories or movies that are set during or have characters from the Medieval Era?

I think of the Camelot stories and Merlin and King Arthur. I really like those stories and love reading and watching them. Some characters and events I've heard of is the knights at the round table, Lancelot. I watched a show on Netflix called Merlin and it was really good. There are dragons and witchws and magic, but also sword fighting, kings and jousting.

Because I was raised Catholic, one medieval story I grew up with was the story of St. Boniface. When I picture the middle ages, I picture knights and saints fighting pagans and vikings.

When I think about the medieval times I think of knights and lords. I cannot think of any movies that I have watched that are based in that time period.

What comes to my mind about the middle ages is castles, knights, and wars. There are a lot of movies set in the middle ages one of them is Robinhood.

When I think of the middle ages I think of the traditional stories of knights and dragons. A movie that is set in the medieval era is Monty Python.

When I think of the middle ages I think of knights in shining armor. When I went to Disneyland they did a show that had guys on horses jousting. I can't think of any movies or stories of the top of my head.

When I think of the Middle Ages I think of knights in shinning armor and king and queens in the most lavish of castles laced with beautiful tapestry along the walls. A large majority of Disney's older movies are based around the middle ages with princesses finding their true love prince.

When I think of the middle ages I think about castles and still wars against each other. More kings and queens and other "monsters". Shrek is a middle age movie, or the movie Brave. The Princess Bride may be a middle age movie as well.
