Daily Literary Quote
'Tis now the very witching time of night,
When churchyards yawn and hell itself breathes out
Contagion to this world.

Journal Prompt
Write about your favorite creepy creature.  What makes them so frightening?  Why do you think people are fascinated by the horrific and macabre?

My favorite creature is a zombie. I like them because Lauren is scared of them and it is funny. People probably don't like them because they are dead and rotting.

My favorite "creepy" creature is from a fandom called the SCP Foundation, where a bunch of people make up strange creatures and build stories with all characters in the SCP universe that others have made. My favorite creature from this fandom is called SCP-4966, and it's my favorite due to it's gimmick, whenever it is in the presence of a corpse, it's tiny little mouth stretches and eats it whole. Then it takes on the physical aspects of what it ate for a period of 4 hours. In appearance it isn't creepy but what it does is fairly creepy.

Is there a lot of different SCPs?

yea, there are hundreds of entries. If you look up the scp on youtube you can find allot of videos that are very informational on each scp listed in the fandom.

My favorite creepy creature would have to be between a Werewolf and Skinwalker. I think that when it comes to it they are both creepy but a skinwalker is way scarier than a werewolf, Skinwalkers can disguise themselves as animals and humans, which is by far scarier than a man who grows a lot of hair at night.

I personally love horror aspects in life because the feeling of uncertainty. The unusual, the fear, the newness, and without a doubt, the scares of the monsters in the dark. It would explain awful behavior.

Jason Voorhees is my favorite creepy creature because he manages to always be right behind you without saying a word and gives an ominous presence. I think horror is fascinated by people because getting scared gives them an amount of dopamine that makes them want to be scared more and more.
