Daily Literary Quote
“In the Middle Ages, cathendrals and convents burned like tinder; imagining a medieval story without a fire is like imagining a World War II movie in the Pacific without a fighter plane shot down in flames.”

Journal Prompt
What comes to mind when you think about the Middle Ages?  What are some stories or movies that are set during or have characters from the Medieval Era?

When I think of Middle Ages I think of knights, castles, kings and battles. It also is around the time that Shakespeare wrote his play's. The movie Monte Python and The Holy Grail is based in the Medieval Era.

I think of the type of weaponry they used and the iconic chain mail armor they wore. In terms of modern things that are medieval themed I would say the game for honor, the movie the princess bride, and shrek.

When I hear Medieval I think of knights, castles, kings, war, fire, and a lot of death. One movie I think of is Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail. Some more are just any Disney movies with princesses, princes and knights.

When I think of the Middle Ages I think of the collapse of Roman civilization. I also think of how the Catholic church became important to a lot of people. One movie that was set during the Medieval Era is Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Puss in boots is about a cat with a sword which is fiction so it's not real.

The first thing that comes to my mind during the medieval era is Christian wars and certain fictional events like King Author. The best movie that I remember from this era is Puss in Boots.

The Middle Ages reminds me of lutes, painted murals of bards, feudalism, and religious corruption. Some movies I can think of are the Knight's Tale, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Lord of the Rings.
