Daily Literary Quote
“In the Middle Ages, cathendrals and convents burned like tinder; imagining a medieval story without a fire is like imagining a World War II movie in the Pacific without a fighter plane shot down in flames.” Umberto Eco Journal Prompt What comes to mind when you think about the Middle Ages? What are some stories or movies that are set during or have characters from the Medieval Era?

When I think of the Middle Ages, I think of awful medical practices that kill more people than they help. I also think of knights and peasants and small farming villages. I believe that the Lord of the Rings movies are based in the Middle Ages or have elements of the Middle Ages.

The Middle Ages has a lot of poor people that were ruled by courageous kings and queens who lives in large stone castle. There were a lot of strong knights who bravely fought in large battles. A movie that come to mind is Monty Python.

When I think of the Middle Ages I imagine Kings, Queens, and knights in shining armor. Some films based on this would be the Lord of the Rings series. Another good film set in these times is Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

When I think of the Middle Ages I think of the Renaissance or a Renaissance fair. I don’t know any stories or characters from the Medieval era, but I would assume they had knights and princesses. The plague was very popular during this time as well.
