I think he will die after being stabbed by Othello from their brutal fight ending it all. I believe it would be hard to survive a stabbing wound back then, with their modern medicines of the time.
An intuitive prediction, I appreciate your realistic views on the play.
That would be a sick plot twist, considering Othello is dead.
Good insight, I didn't even think about that.
Oh Yeah, I forgot that he had gotten stabbed at the end.
Yeah your probably right
I agree with you that he will die or maybe have a death sentence.
You can basically predict the future.
I didn't even think about that. Cool insight!
I think your correct it would be really hard to survive that in that time.
I agree with your comment. I can definitely see that happeining.
That makes sense.
I think that at the end of the play, Iago will be accosted by his peers. I suppose that they would want information from him. On the other hand, maybe he would be isolated from his community, based upon his uncertain part in the murderous fray. Either possibilities seem likely.
I agree, I do think he would be avoided like the bubonic plague, because there is going to be at least one person to say something.
thank you, traitor
I agree that they will want to know why he wanted to do those things to his peers.
I think he would be in jail for the things that he has done, but maybe he would find a way to break out or to trick the prison people into doing something for him.
I agree that he would still be scheming even In jail.
I agree, I think that he would be put in jail so that he doesn't hurt anyone else.
It might happen
I think he will either be banished or put on death row. I think that since he deceived multiple people, and caused many disruptions. He was also responsible for several deaths.
Yeah I agree with that point as well.
I think so too, it would make sense for him to be taken to the gallows or to be publicly executed, because he is such a horrible human.
I also believe that because of his actions he will be put onto death row and killed.
Yes I agree that Iago will be blamed.
I think that Iago would have been caught, because there were still people that knew he was a bad person. I think cassio would have started spreading the word and eventually, everyone would have started avoiding Iago or persecuting him.
Yeah, that’s a good outlook of the point, I think that would be true.
Yeah, with Cassio still alive the truth almost has to come through somewhere.
I think that he will probably be brought to court by other witnesses of the situation or be cast out of town for violating someone's peaceful marriage through deception, because any happenings of social disarray were widely erased at the time. I think that people were trying to uphold a society to what they thought were pristine standards.
That’s a good point of view explained!
I also think that he will likely be brought to court. It may happen, in part, on the grounds of his deceit and effect on Othello's marriage. I think the main cause, though, would be because he killed his wife.
I think people will start to go after him to kill him. He has deceived and killed people himself. That is why I feel other people will go after him because of the things he did.
I think after the play Iago will have to stand trial for his crimes. The judges will find him guilty for murder and scheming for the downfall of his peers. I think he will either be banished or executed because of the severity of his crimes.
Yeah, I agree
I thought the same.
I completely agree with your prediction!
I believe that Iago would have been put to death after the events of the play. I believe this because he was the one who planned out everything and everyone's death so he would be the one to blame for their deaths. They would probably sentenced him to death and would have killed him by decapitation in some way because of the time period.
I totally agree with your point!
I like how you used in depth detail to make your thought on Iago valid.
I think that Iago tries to hussle other people and gets caught up in a situation he cant get out of. His karma is going to catch up with him sometime, and he might just mess with the wrong people. So I think Iago will get murdered in the near future.
I definitely agree with you!
I agree with you that karma will get him back.
I believe that Iago will be killed by Cassio. If Cassio doesn’t kill him I think he will bring Iago to prison where he can rot in a cell for the rest of his life. Another possibility is that Bianca would kill or heavily wound him for injuring Cassio.
Oooh! I like this idea.
Yeah, I bet Bianca would hurt him pretty bad for hurting Cassio. I hadn't thought about that; good idea.
I agree, there would definitely be a possibility of this happening!
I certainly hadn't thought of Bianca's possible involvement, but it does seem like a possible turn of events, especially if she found access to poison. (Poison being a common means of assassination in Shakespeare's plays, as well as it being associated with a more feminine form of violence.)
I think Iago will get what he deserves and either dies or is put in jail. People won't want to talk to him anymore so he doesn't get anything good out of getting his way.
I think Iago would be punished somehow for all the things that he had done. Whether it is execution or banishment, any punishment would be well deserved. He had caused so much trouble with too many people that it would be hard to not recognize him.
I agree with what you say about how any punishment is well deserved.
Yeah! I agree with you on that!
Based open the line talking about torments opening Iago's lips. I would guess he would be tortured for information. They suspect him of having indirectly brought about the death of Desdemona and Othello, and will likely incarcerate him anyway for having slain his wife. Either way, whether prison, death, and/or torture awaits, it will be an unhappy end for Iago.
That is a good point that they might try to take something from Iago like information for how deceiving he is.
I forgot it mentioned that, but I was thinking along the same lines.
That’s a really good theory!
Though what ever happens to him, Iago deserves to be punished for his actions
I think that Iago will run into problems later form his previous actions. His personality of trying to be deceiving and gaining power I think won’t change and he’ll still try to find a way to be the one in power. This will be harder for Iago because people will suspect him of things and I think he’ll act like it had nothing to do with him.
I agree. He is very good at deceiving.
I agree with you on him running into problems later on
I think that Iago will eventually be killed. He set up a bunch of murders and I think that overtime all of his actions will catch up to him. Someone or someone(s) will end up killing Iago. But he's very persuasive and may convince them not to kill him.
I agree with you on him being killed after setting up all those murders
I think Iago will end up going to some type of court, but he won't say anything so they will just have to keep him tied up and suffering in some sort of cell until he admits to what he did. He did swear that he would never say anything again, so maybe they will just kill him. I wish that Emelia could be the one to kill him, but she is obviously dead, so I just hope that he gets killed in a vengeful way.
It would be really cool if Emelia could get revenge
I personally feel like Iago will try to make it sound like he did nothing but overtime he will eventually say or do the wrong thing. Which will end up him paying the price with death. Or he may end up convincing everyone that he isn't guilty and making them think he has done no wrong so they won't have any suspicion about Iago's past actions.
I believe that after the ending events of the play, Iago will go on trial. His treachery will be found out and he will either rot in jail or be killed. Iago honestly deserves a bad ending.
I think everyone who has enough leverage over Iago to get him a serious punishment has died by the end of the play. Specifically Emilia, Othello, and Desdemona. I believe he will get out unscathed
This is also a likely outcome
I believe he will run away from all these problems to keep his mouth shut and get away from everything that went down
