In chapters 2 and 3, Scout begins her public school career. What were your "first days" of school like? Think about your earliest school experiences and how they compare to Scout's.

My first days of school that I remember were scary because there were so many people and everything was so big.

I was excited on my first day. I was also nervous because it was all new. This relates to scout because she was excited to go to her first day of school.

My first experiences at school sucked. People are rude. Scout was too smart for her class and I feel a little like her cause I am supposed to be a junior. This is not me bragging

Scout was excited for her first day. Except she isn’t like the others cause her father taught how to read. The teacher wants her father to stop teaching her how to read and other things.

I was nervous and committed to making sure everyone knew I was a know it all. I remember I got in trouble on the first day of kindergarten for rolling my eyes. I guess I can relate a little to her because I didnt get along with my teacher much.

I didn't really like to read that often back then and I didn't really work to hard on my handwriting. Oopsie. Scout kinda has an opposite experience from me.

My first days of school were confusing g because I didnt know anybody and everybody knew everyone else. They were also sad because they made me remember my old friends. Scout was excited to go to school and then she got there and something happened and she didnt like it anymore.

I can’t really remember my first days of school, I’m pretty sure that at scouts age I didn’t talk to anyone. I was a really shy kid so that is probably what happened. I also most likely sat in the front of the class because I was that person.

I couldn’t wait to go to the first day of school. My sister and I would play school at home and it was one of my favorite games. This relates to scout because she couldn’t wait to go to school.

Scout was constantly getting in trouble for being smart the first few days of school (not relatable) and ended up wanting to quit school (relatable). I remember when I was in kindergarten I drew my I’d like a lollipop instead of a dot and I wasn’t allowed to leave school until I did it right.

I have always been excited for the first day of school. Especially after like 5th grade because all the adults said the boys would grow older and look cuter, but here we are in 10th grade and that aint true. My early school days didnt really relate to Scout.

From what I remember i was really excited for my first day of school. I would be able to make new friends and learn something new. My initial feelings about starting school are closely related to Scouts except while she soon learns to hate school, I always liked it.

What I remember about my first days are just going in the mornings, tracing and learning the alphabet, and playing tag all the time at recess. I can relate this to Scout because she was more excited for recess than learning.
