What comes to mind when you hear the word “prejudice”?  What are some different types of prejudice that exist in the world today?

The book Pride and Prejudice comes to mind. A lot of time in high school people say “oh I don’t like them because they wear this” or based off their friend group.

When I hear the word prejudice i think of someone having an opinion on something or someone before they know them or know about the topic. Different types of prejudice is when you dislike a person without knowing then, dislike a food before you try it, or disliking someone for their race or their sexuality.

When somebody says prejudice I think pre-judge, like judging someone before you know them. Some types of prejudice is racism or being homophobic. You shouldn’t judge people before you know them because you never really know someone before you talk to them.

When I hear the word prejudice judging a person by how they look or act before you know them comes to mind. Some different types of prejudice are racism, deciding whether or not you like somebody before you know them, and judging a book by its cover.

What comes to my mind when I hear the word prejudice is like a big ego, or too much arrogance or pride in oneself. Alot of egomaniacs have much prejudice. Prejudice can also mean privilege in some cases.

When I hear prejudice it think of the civil war for some reason because of all the slavery and racism that was going on. Racism is an example of prejudice today. Another one is making accusations about someone or something that you don’t know of haven’t met.

Prejudice is a preconceived opinion on something without knowing the facts. Some prejudices that exist today are judging someone just by race.

Judging someone or something because of what you have heard, not what you’ve experienced. Today prejudice can usually be seen between different ethnic groups.

When prejudice come to my mind, I think of how someone is being stereotyped from upon what they look like. It’s kinda like being judged, before really knowing the person.

It's like an opinion you make before you actually get a personal experience of it. Race and party is some examples of this.
