Take a quick look at this article for a scientific approach to some of the traits that separate humans from other animals, and then respond to the following questions.

What are some physical/biological characteristics that distinguish humans from other animals? Do you think there are any other distinctions not covered in the article? How would you define what it means to be human?

There are many different physical and biological traits that set us apart from other animals. One of them being that even after woman stop producing children we live long and mostly happy lives. I believe they covered the most important stuff in the article. Beings human mean spitting the needs of others before your own. It also means being jealous, and having other natural feelings and emotions about events that happen. Another thing is that we choose our own paths in life and there are standards that we live by as well as the concept of basic human respect.

Some physical characteristics that distinguish humans and animals are the ability to stand up straight, our brains, and also hands. Yes I do think there are other distinctions not covered in the article but not as main as the ones stated. I would define what it means to be a human by having usable thumbs and being able to speak with words.

Some traits that make us different from other animals is our ability to build complex machines that make our every day life easier. Another thing that distinguishes us is that we cannot just go and drink creek/river water like other animals can. Being human is a way to express the differences between us and other animals. Meaning our ability to have emence cognitive ability.

Our big brains and opposable thumbs are what most separates us from the rest of the animal kingdom. We also blush, a characteristic not known to any other animal. I think the article covered the topic decently well, and there is nothing that comes to mind that he didn't miss. Humans are very inventive, creative creatures, and out social interactions with each other are very different from other species.

We are distinguish by being able to blush, and folding in our ring finger. Another distinction is we have eyebrows. Being human is having the physical features described in the article, and also having the ability to feel empathy and simpathy.

So physical and biological characteristics that show how humans are different for animals are that we get to where clothes and animals have either fur or scales or skin. We also have can speak and animal only make sounds. Hands are also a characteristic that we have, our hand can help us control thing and make them work the way we want.

One of the biggest physical characteristics that make us different from other animals is that we have opposable thumbs that can reach all the way acrosss our hands. I think a distinction that they didn’t cover in the article was how we have very weak fingernails compared with most primates who have strong nails that are similair to claws. I think what it means to be human is having a lot stronger and more advanced emotions than animals.

Humans are distinguished from other animals because of how long children have to be cared for by their parents. Also how our voice box's are placed. I don't believe anything wasn't gone over. What i think it means to be human is to have the ability to show emotions and communicate effectively.

Some characteristics that distinguish humans from other animals are the way that humans walk (on two legs instead of four), lack of hair, their ability to retain information with a smaller brain, and their hands. some things that were not mentioned in the article was the way that animals and humans interact. what it means to be human is to have ones own thoughts, ideas, decisions, and emotions make up who they are.

Some physical and biological differences between humans and other animals include our ability to speak. A distinction between animals and humans that was not mentioned in the article is how are different genes make us so different and unique. I define being able to comprehend our choices and make a decision and being able to have values as what it means to be human.

We are able to stand and walk on two feet. Another distinction could be our skeletal structure and how it differs from others. To be human we are more of a civilized society and are trying to build up and economy.

I think that childbirth is probably the biggest difference biologically because it isn’t as dangerous for other animals. Some differences that were not mentioned are how we act around children. I define being human by the way you act, as a human you have standards and shouldn’t allow yourself to act like a savage.
