Many people read about other cultures but when we don’t we developed more ignorance and therefore cultures can be lost and forgotten. The picture shows that the more advanced we become, the more uncivilized we come as well. As for phones, we have access to everything but we choose it to look at ridiculous pictures and jokes. We use our creations for dumb things instead of its actual purpose.

All of the quotes deal with today’s society and how we function as humans by deals of electronics taking over. The illustrations portray that we seem to care more about our own devices than the outside world and what’s going on in person. Our advanced technology is becoming destructive to ourselves.

I feel like they all mean the times are changing. Some people might think it’s for the worst. People don’t like it and some people think it’s great and that technology should be a big part of our lives.

The picture is pretty eye opening. As far as the quote, you can’t really just force people to not read. The screenshot is realistic too. We have access to so much, and what do we do? We get on our phones to research for our homework and end up looking at memes or social media. Completely procrastinating and wasting our time. I use my phone to contact people.

All three of these components lead the the idea that our society is relying and technology. We started with finding ways to survive with the bare minimum and working for a good life. Now we are starting to be less active and focus our lives on a screen rather than real things.

I think the quote is referring to the 21 century as in we all have access to the same material but only a few of us use it to our advantage. All of them are describing how lazy our generation is and what we do with our time. They critique us by saying we have access to all the resources we need but we still chose to watch Netflix, You Tube, and memes.

The quote shows that we go further than is necessary. We overreact.. The photo shows that we have evolved, but it targets computers as something negative, when really I think we have advanced because of them. The screenshot shows that we use technology for dumb things. We aren’t using it to it’s full potential, and as a result we miss lots of learning opportunities.

Honestly if someone tells me not to read a book I will go maybe not read it but find out what it’s about. For the picture I think that people are spending too much time on electronics but I think that the evolution isn’t real so I don’t know how to take that. I think that people in the 50’s had it good, I think that it would be fun. I think that it would be hard to explain a lot of things that we have today.

The quote explains how, without books and writings, cultures would be forgotten and lost throughout history. The screenshot shows how, even with the world at our fingertips, we use this opportunity to do useless things instead of bettering our society.

The quote is saying how easy it is to get people to stop reading books considering how prevalent technology is today also we are getting more persuasive everyday making it easy to sway decisions that are made by others. The screenshot explains how advanced we’ve become but also how lazy and easily interested we are. The picture depicts how we had a time in our lives when we were self reliable and how we’ve gone down since them. It is so easy now to have people and robots no less to do our jobs for us.

A similarity between the three is that they all relate to how advanced we’ve become. We once didn’t have things such as Google and cell phones. If we wanted information, we had to look for it ourselves.

Our ancestors have worked very hard to achieve what they have but when it comes to us, it seems that we rely on the hard work of others. We do amazing things as a population but the average individual is rather pathetic in the terms of work. I am not saying that it is easier today I am just saying that the individual doesn’t have to work as hard to survive which could be seen as a weakness in our society through the eyes of a person that lived a long time ago.

Just gonna point out, that computer is way out of date. If you gave someone from the past a phone, they would probably use it to learn some stuff. In our day, we mainly use our phones for entertainment (teenagers especially). Instagram, Tiktok, social media, communication, games......... We have all this information at our hands that we ignore. We should all try to learn something new once in a while instead of watching cats make fools out of themselves.

Even though human kind is becoming more technologically advanced, we are growing farther apart as a society. No one really talks to each other and we take our knowledge for granted. Many social skills are lost and people don’t seek out education.

I would say that the meaning behind these three things is to maybe criticize our culture nowadays. Some similarities between these three show how we have differed strongly from how things used to be. The critique they give our society is that maybe we need to stop looking at phones and computers and we should look at books and real things that we can touch.

These two picture all emphasize how technology is bigger than ever and is still growing fast. Some people are scared of this saying that it will take over books and make us lazy and less educatated. Kinda reminds me about the Videogames cause Violece type of deal. Well some of this may be true, it is also a very good thing as well. People who didn’t grow up in this generation may not be accustomed to this new culture, and consider it ruining culture because the one they grew up in may be fading.
