Montag and Truman are both stuck in a fantasy world and are realizing it. Also, both of them have poor relationships with their wives. Finally, Clarise and Silvia both go to Montag and Truman to tell them about reality and then they both suspiciously disappear.

One similarity is that they are both in an altered reality. Another is that they both have someone helping them like Silvia with Truman and Montag with Faber. Finally, they both have a lacking relationship with their significant other(wife).

One of the similarities that I saw was that they both were living their lives in a way that felt normal to them but in reality was not normal and they both started to have questions about the society they lived in and how it wasn’t really what they thought it to be.

Montag lives in a society where people are forced to conform to normality, and Truman lives in a society where people are forced to be fake. Both of them are surrounded by lies. Truman has been lied to his whole life, and so has Montag when it comes to history and knowledge. Both Truman and Montag are satisfied with their lives until they begin to actually wonder. Once they see things as they truly are, they rebel.

They both are kind of being tricked. I think Montag is being tricked by the Captain and Truman is being tricked by everybody really. Neither of them love their wives. They both want some sort of adventure away from their normal lives. Truman wants to go on vacation to Fiji and Montag wants to make more copies of the Bible.

I would say that some similarities between Truman and Montag would be that they both don’t love the person they are married to. Another similarity is that someone that they met helped them to see that something was off in their lives. For Truman it was that his life was a TV show and for Montag it was that he was burning books. One more similarity between the two is that they both want to change how they are living their lives.

One similarity between Truman and Montag is they both have that person that lives outside the rules. That person for Montag is Faber and for Truman that person is Lauren. As the stories progress, both Truman and Montag start to realize their worlds aren’t what they claim to be. Another similarity is their wives play along too well. Both Meryl and Millie believe what they’re doing is right.

Some similarities between trueman and montag are, they both want out of their job. Also, both of their wives want them to be safe and do the smart thing. They enjoy communication and being around people talking. They both want to discover more, Trueman has memories and doesn’t know where they came from, just like Montag is finding books and he wonders what they are about.

Truman and Montag are both looking for truth and balance in a confused and fake society. Truman has questions about why people are following and marking his every movement and I think Montag has to deal with this as well because he is looked at as a huge influential personnel due to the job he has. They are both falling out of love with their wives. They are also both trying to find out who someone is and where they came from.
