We made machines but we let machines control us.
Woah. That’s pretty deep.
It was one sentence, but it said a whole bunch.
Yes, I agree
We created machines and now we use them to such an extent that it seems like we must have them to live. So to a point we are controlled by the machines because some of us would be lost if it wasn’t for machines that guide us. We shouldn’t depend on the things we create.
Your so right.
I like the way you put that.
I like your ideas.
That’s very true.
Both because we decide to be on them but there like a temptation to us.
I think that we spend way too much time on technology but we can choose to not be on it.
We created the machines, but they did their job too well. We enjoyed having them so much, they started to influence how we think. We worked so hard in order to not work hard.
That’s a nice point of view. I agree.
I agree, as we use them more they influence us.
I like the part you said about the machines working too well.
Thanks for sharing, I agree.
I agree they influence how we speak.
I didn’t think about working so hard to have us work less hard. That’s cool.
At first we controlled them and tried to use them for our benefit. But I feel as we use them more we get attached or addicted to them. We sometimes don’t want to put them down.
I like the way you said that.
I agree that we are addicted to devices.
I like how you said addicted. That’s the concept of having too much of a good thing.
I agree that we get attached.
Yeah I think we think we need them when really they should only be used when applicable.
Yah I think we give them to much control
Honestly it’s like a mutual relationship. We in a way control machines, but in other ways they utterly control us. We are the hand, and we can search anything we want with our technology, use quite a bit to our advantage, but with doing so we guarantee our dependence on those machines. We are giving them the upper hand whenever we use them due to our temptation for them.
I agree that we are dependent on our devices.
I agree that we’re always giving them the upper hand.
I think that we, as humans, physically control machines. But, I think that machines and technology easily control humans mentally. In today’s society, we are addicted to technology and our devices. We have physical control over the machines but our mental addiction to them keeps us from being 100% in control.
I agree, I like how you explained that.
Hear it from Hailey! Technology = drugs!!
Yeah the mental side is definitely a valid truth.
You are right we are addicted to technology
I think that machines have started to control the way we live our lives. Through our cars, phones, and jobs they have an impact in our everyday routine.
I totally agree with what you’re saying.
We made machines at first. Eventually though machines might overtake us. They could be their own species and begin self evolving.
Humans control machines only until we start to rely on them for everything. Once we start to rely on the machines, we won’t be able to live without them.
I think we that we can control machines if we use them wisely. If we missuse the technology we have and let it get in the way of more important things we have to do then it could be controlling us. If you use your technology in the right way it can become a very useful tool.
I feel like it does depend on how you use them too.
I think both because we are the ones who created the machines and can manually control them. But I feel that the machines can mentally control us and how we feel.
I think that the machines often influence our decisions and impact the way we think. Which often makes us rely a lot on our phones but some people have enough control to where they don’t always need to be on their phones. I feel like it really depends on the person.
I think that there is a little bit of both. In some ways we control the machines we use. Although at the same time the machines we use tell us so many things that influence us and our opinions that in some ways the machines do control us.
I like what you said about influencing opinions.
Machines were made for us to control. We have grown such a reliability to them that they seem to control us. Whether in our time usage or other effects. Be careful not casual in your actions. If you use it right, you can keep control.
That is a good way to look at it
With the advances of technology, we are becoming more and more dependent on machines. The more dependent we become we forget how to live without them. We use machines to schedule our life, budget our money, and record our history. Our entire way to life is dependent on machines. And if one doesn’t work, we panic. I would definitely say that machines control us.
We are definitely on the path to become more influenced by these machines.
As of right now we control the machines that play a big part in our life as humans. They are not governing our lives but they do greatly influence how we live it. This being said they influence us based on what we, or the people that control the machines, want them to influence us with. The machines do not have their own agenda therefore they cannot be blamed for the influence they have over us.
That’s a very good perspective.
That is exactly what I think. Almost word for word. That is the most true, correct, honest opinion I have seen about this topic.
I like what you said I agree with you
I think that for the most part we control machines but there are certain “machines” that control us. iPhones and social media are machines that control us. We are so heavily influenced by these things. People, if you will, are machines by which we are controlled by through society and our ways of life.
I agree that ultimately we are the reason for the control. It is interesting when we determine what is machine and when it becomes human or visa versa
I think think that it’s a bit of both. Technology is and is capable of influencing or controlling us. At the same time we are controlling it as well because, obviously, we are the one who created it.
I agree with you.
We control the machines most of the times but while we control them we let them take over our lives. We control them physical but mentally we let the control us.
We physically control machines but they can can control us mentally. We want to use our machines and feel the need to use them. Even though we control how we use them and when we use them. There is also the feeling that we need machines.
I think that now we feel comfortable with the way our machines affect us today but I think that we might get to ahead of ourselves and give the machines to much control.
We have the gift to choose. We choose to control or be controlled. Computers don’t have a body. They can’t move. They’re stuck. We have power over the. We can manipulate them. We have an arm that we can use to click out of something if we don't like it. They don’t have that ability. We control them.
We made machines and we use them to do incredible things and improve our daily lives but we let them consume us but we do not realize it.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
