Most cultures have "rites of passage" which mark the transition from an adolescent to an adult. What are some "rites of passage" in our culture? Do you think these experiences help us "come of age"? How long do you think "growing up" takes?

Some rites of passage is graduating high school, or getting your drivings license. I think it kinda helps us come of age. Growing up takes owning our responsibilities.

Growing up takes 21 years. A rite of passage would be hunting for the first time and killing and animal and eating it’s still beating heart, that’s how you become a man.

Turning 18 for many people is a write of passage. Getting your first job or applying for one. Applying for college. These are a few of the writes of passage.

One rite of passage are moving from middle school to high school. This helps us come to age and hopefully act more mature. I think growing up takes awhile until you have responsibilities and duties to act upon.

A right of passage here in salmon could be shooting a deer or getting your driving liscence. I think these things do help us come of age. I think growing up takes different time for different people. It could happen really young for some people and take till mid 30’s for other people.

One right of passage is getting your first kiss from some people, as well as turning 16 years old. Another right of passage is getting your license. I think growing up can take your whole life because you are always growing either by height or by learning new things.

Some rights of passage may be getting a phone or your drivers license and yes I do because they show that you are being trusted with something big. Growing up takes different amounts of time for everyone is could be how tall you are or how mentally mature you are.

Some rites of passage we have are graduation of high school or college. They help us “come of age” because it shows that we were able to work hard enough to graduate so we should be ready for the real world. Growing up can take a long time depending on the person and how they live their life.

In are culture there are many “rites of passages”, but to me the biggest one is when you can understand and sympathize with. This was sally happens when you leave the house. I think that experiences help you grow up. Most people grow up around 18 but it also depends on what has happened in your life and what you have experienced.

A rite of passage that I think symbolizes growing up, at least for today’s culture, is starting high school. In reality, I think that becoming an adult is more a mental thing then based on age because you need to mentally be mature and smart enough to take on the world as an adult.

We will never truly know when “we’re grown up” because no matter what they’re is still so much to learn and experience. Maybe I wouldn’t say we grow up (physically we do) but learning and maturing from expirences gives us a sense of life fulfillment and maturity.

When we are 18 we get the right to vote. But I personally think it depends on the person for how long it takes them to mature all the way. And rites of passage only help you grow up if you let them.
