What are some reasons people read or write poetry? What are some ways poetry differs from prose?

People read poems because it can calm them. They could write them to express there feelings. Poetry is spoken or written in a way that it makes sense to you, prose makes sense to everyone.

People read and write poetry to feel or express their emotions. Poetry has a pattern and structure, prose is just normally speaking.

They read or write poetry cuz they try to be special and edgy. Poetry is dumb and prose is normal, if u pull up on me speaking dr suess Imma pull out the .38. Also some ways poetry is different from prose is that poetry doesn’t follow any rules whilst prose follows all the rules.

People read or write poetry because it helps them convey their emotions. Poetry is different from the way we speak because it usually has a deeper meaning. It also can sometimes rhyme.

One reason people write poetry is to express their feelings or to make people think about something. Poetry is more proper than prose. Poetry is also written in patterns unlike prose.

Some people read poems for fun or to relax while others read poetry for new ideas. Poetry is different from prose because poetry is usually focused and concentrated on one thing and goes with a nice flow where prose can be all over the place and yes it has its own flow but not quite like poetry.

It’s unique compared to how we speak normally. It catches peoples attention when they hear it. Poetry usually rhymes and has a specific flow.

People like to show their feelings through poetry. Poetry is different then everyday talking because it is more meaningful.

They want to express their feelings and write something they are passionate about. It would just be awkward to speak in poetry. Maybe if we were in the 1500s

People write in poetry because it is often more formal. It also sounds better. We often speak with slang or unproper language with prose and it wouldn’t sound right reading it off a page. Poetry also usually follows some sort of rule.

People write in poetry to tell there true meanings inside. The usually can reflect in a way that other people will be able to relate. If they just write in prose it is just like someone talking and isn’t anything special.

Some people find poetry fun to try to figure out and understand. I also think people read peoetry because of how different it is from the way we speak day to day. Poetry tends to be much more thought out than the way we speak.

We write and read poetry to express feelings or look at things from a different point of view. Prose is in more of a book format. A poem is one page that forces on one thing and is usually short.

Some people read poems to lose themselves or to feel like it is them and people write them to express themselves in a shorter form than a story. Poetry is very formal language but proses are more phrases.

People read and write poetry to express their feelings. Prose is normal where poetry follows the lines of one concentrated thing. Poetry also uses more complex words.

People like poetry because of the expression and emotion behind it. Poetry is personal and means a different thing to everyone, people enjoy something they can relate to. Compared to prose, poetry is structurally different, not used all the time, and usually used as a creative output.

The reasons people read and write poetry is because it allows them to relate and express their emotions. Poetry gives people the freedom to be creative with there words and feelings. Unlike prose that are not as complex as poetry rhymes and easily understood.
