Yes I agree with this. I agree because what if your enemy plans to kill you but you wouldn’t know because you’re not close enough to him. No I haven’t ever experienced this.

I think it means that to keep your enemies close so you can have power over them in some way. I’ve never experienced this so I don’t have a reason to agree with it.

You gotta keep your enemies closer than your friends so you can learn their weaknesses and earn their trust. I don’t agree with this statement because you’ll become friends if you hang out enough and feel bad for them if you do something to them. Yea one time I was in Germany as a spy and aided in the destruction of the Berlin Wall.

I think this expression means to keep good relationships but keep track of your enemies. It could also mean to make your enemies think they’re your friends. I don’t agree with this because I just don’t want anything to do with people I’d consider to be an “enemy”.

I do not agree with the his, your “enemies” can become very toxic and you could end up in a unhealthy relationship. Sometimes focusing on those who do not care for you can make you loose many important friendships in your life. I have experienced this slightly.
