How does the children's view of Calpurnia change after their visit to First Purchase? Can you think of a similar experience when your view of someone was changed by something he/she did?

They think of her having a separate life from their life which is something they never thought of. Yeah when you see someone light up a cigarette.

Before they thought she acted like she was white. After the visit they thought she acted a lot more like a black person around other black people. One time Caden bullied me because I wasn’t as strong as him.

They realized she has a life outside of the Finch family. Her accent changes and she has friends at the church. They also saw a different side of her.

They think of her as a real black person because when they were around other black people she was talking like them and acting like more like them. One time blazen bullied me because I didn’t have handles like him.

The children saw her outside of the regular help image they had of her. They saw some of her culture when they went to church with her. I believed that the gebardts were all related for a really long time until I spent more and more time with them and they told me the truth.

The children realize that she has a very different life outside of being their maid. I have seen this happen when a person who I thought was mean does something nice.

The children’s view changed because they finally realize that blacks people have different lifestyles then them. My experience was when I thought someone was my friend, then they go and do unfriendly things.

Their view changed because they realized that she had a different lifestyle and views in life than them. My experience is when I thought somebody was my friend then they stabbed me in the back

I think the children weren’t prepared for how she acted around others outside of their house. They also realized that she is independent and has a life outside of being their maid and caretaker. I can’t think of a similar experience that I have had.

Their views change because they realize she lives a much different life then they thought at first. She acts different around different people. I thought Eli was mean then I saw him do something nice for someone and I changed my mine.

The kids at first were confused why she asked different when she was around “her kind of people” then just with them but then after she explained everything then they respected her more then they already did. There has been many times in my life when I have found out something that someone has done and I have either made me respect them more or respect them less then I already had.

She acted more like herself. And my view on a few people in my family changed because I found out they were homophobic or really religious to the point where they won’t stop preaching.

There veiw changed by then seeing that she has a life that’s totally different than when she is with them. Calpurnia has friends at the church that she’s acts differently around. When your friends that you hang out with at school our different out side of school

They had realized that Calpurnia was very intelligent and educated compared to her peers. When I was a youngin I had meet a kid who wasn’t tall and didn’t look strong. He needed up being pretty athletic and surprised me.

Calpurnia can be very strict sometimes but when she was at the church she was different. Like when I thought Dillon was mean but then I saw him be nice to a kid and I changed my mine.

When Calpurnia takes the kids to her church they see a whole new side of her. She talks with a different and less proper manner and seems to be enjoying herself around her friends. I’ve never had my outlook change on someone after they do something instinctive to them.

They see her in a whole different light since she probably acted like her ‘true’ self. The also realized that all of her life doesn’t rely or depend on them, she does have her own family and friends that she can act how she likes. I can think of a time my view changed but it’s like I act different and louder around my friends than I do with my family.

When the children go to the church, their eyes are open to the fact that Calpurnia does live a life outside of the Finch family. They also realize Calpurnia changes her personality around their family. There is a lot of experiences with people acting like a different person around a group than just being alone with them.

Their views changed about her because they realized she actually had a life. She acts so different around them but when she’s at church she’s a different person. My views changed when people talk crap on you and then try’s to be nice to you.
