"Where they have burned books, they will end in burning human beings."
- Heinrich Heine (1821) Explain the quote above. Why do you think Heine makes the leap from burning books to burning people? What are some cultures you are aware of that burn books? Are those cultures also dangerous to people?

Heineken makes the leap from burning books to burning people because in a way to burn a book is to burn a person because if you burn books you are destroying culture.

Burning books is basically the same as burning people. Nazi’s used to burn books. I’d say they were pretty dangerous.

I think that Heine already had some sort of radical idea inside of his head that came from burning books. I’m don’t know of any groups that burn books but they are probably dangerous because if they can’t handle the opinions of others than who knows what they might do.

It starts by burning books but by doing that you are burning part of what some people are. I think he’s saying that burning books is very close to burning humans because of the knowledge you lose. The Nazis, I would definitely consider them dangerous 😂

Because they want to destroy the knowledge and if some people still have the knowledge, gotta get rid of them somehow. A culture that burns books was the Nazis and the Mongols burnt Muslim libraries down back in the day, well the libraries and the whole town was burnt. Those cultures were very bad.

Once the books run out they will have to find other things that humans disagree with. I can only think of Hitler burning books and taking control of the Jews. People are always at risk of being taken over by others who want power or think they are right.

Burning a book, is burning an idea, a though, a different version of reality and a piece of mind that somebody is a part of. If we start burning books altogether, then as we evolve it will take place in different forms of being.
