Daily Literary Quote
“I always felt an outsider.”

Journal Prompt
Recall a time when you found yourself in an unfamiliar environment (everybody has at some point in their lives, so don’t tell me you haven’t!).  How did it make you feel?  How did others treat you as an “outsider”?

When I went to boy state it was very unfamiliar because we were on a military base. I felt put of place and awkward. Everyone was chill.

Ya it makes you feel weird but once you start talking to people it’s not bad at all.

I was an outsider when I moved to boise. It made me feel awkward and out of place. But then my little Mexican friend talked to me and became friends immediately so it was good.

I felt like an outsider when I moved to Salmon. I wanted friends but I didn't know hardly anybody here. It made me feel alone and hopeless that I wouldn't find any friends. People were kind but a lot of people were closed off.

Whenever i go out of town, or to a bigger city it makes me feel like an outsider. It is very overwhelming and I feel like I am in the way of everybody around me. I think that others feel the same way a lot of the time but lots of people are rude about it too.

When I first started my job I felt like an outsider. I was the youngest one there. I was shy and didn't know what to say or what to do. The coworkers were very nice and helped me to get things done.

Many times when I have moved, I have always experienced the feeling of being an outsider. There are many things I was so unsure of whether it was what was trending during school and ect. It made me feel uncomfortable.

One time when I felt like an outsider is when I moved to salmon in second grade. I felt out of place and I did not like living here at first. I did not know any one and was shy so didn't really try to make friends. There were a few people who tried to be my friend after about a year of living here.

I feel out of place most of the time mainly when there is a large amount of people.

I felt in a very different environment when I tried skiing for the first time. We snowboarders despise of skiers because of them making mogels and cutting us off in the park runs. So when I tried it for the first time just because I wanted to be good at both so they judged me for being like one of them, but I did not care.
