Journal Prompt
Do you believe in ghosts or the supernatural?  Why or why not?  Why do you think they remain so prevalent in our stories and folklore?

I do not believe in ghosts. I need more solid evidence and proof for something like that. I think they remain prevalent because people feed into scary stories like that very easily.

I think that it would be really cool if the supernatural was real, but there isn't much evidence supporting it so I have a hard time believing in it. I think that it is so prevelent in our story's because it probably gave reasons to things that they didn't have answers to back then that we now have answers to through science.

To be honest I have never really had an opinion on ghost. So I would have to say I am neutral on the subject. Having ghost in stories help create more depth to the story.

I believe in ghosts, but not supernatural creatures like vampires, I think ghosts are used in stories and folklore because it it can reveal certain side stories or backgrounds of characters. Supernatural characters in stories just makes them entertaining.

Perhaps to show what a character would think of the occurring events after their passage or to show the remaining memory of a place and it’s inhabitants. Maybe also to commune with those from another time to consult on some certain subject, or the will of otherworldly spirits wishing to manifest themselves into our realm.

I don’t really have an option on ghosts or supernatural. I believe that when people die their soul leaves their body and they either go to Heaven or Hell but I’m not sure if they stay here on earth. The idea of ghost are still prevalent because they add a scary or interesting aspect to a story.

I believe in the idea of them. People want to have a higher power to refer to when something happens. That is why when things can't be explained they blame ghosts.

I do nag believe in ghosts. Because I feel like it’s what you think for example when a little kid is scared of the dark and once he grows up he grows out of it. They’re so prevalent because I think people like to feed into story’s and add

I do believe in ghosts. However, I don’t believe in them the way that they are seen these days. They are not creepy or haunting. Most people believe in ghosts so they have an excuse to be scared of certain situations.

I do not believe in either. This is because no one has solid proof of them being real otherwise there wouldn’t be a question if they are real. They remain prevalent because people don’t want to let go of those who are dead. They also may believe because they enjoy being scared and don’t want to let the ghost tradition die.

I don’t believe in ghost. But having them as a supernatural would be kinda cool. Telling ghost stories around a campfire gives you different vibes.

I do not believe in the super natural given there is no concrete evidence. I think they’re incorporated into culture to allow an easy route out of unexplainable things. Ghosts might be a real but theres no way to prove it yet.

I don’t believe in “ghosts” but I do believe in spirits, I believe in guardian angels and stuff like that. Although it could be possible for spirits to continue roaming after death. I’ve never been a ghost so I really don’t know 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

I do believe in ghosts and the supernatural because theres no way that they dont exist in some way shape or form because there is quite a bit that happens around us that we cant explain with science at least not the science we have now. There has to be different planes of existence that we just dont understand yet some way because theres no way life as a human is just this bland earthly view.

I believe in some sense of ghosts but not in the supernatural. It’s a long explanation of why I believe that in some sense ghost are real. I think ghosts are prevalent in folklore and stories because some parts can but true but to make it more interesting they add more to the ghost part of the story.

I do believe in ghost but not in the ones that are on movies. I don’t think that the ghost just live among us all the time. Humans have always been interested in the unknown and what if’s because it scares us to not know so we try to believe we do.

I believe In some ghost. There are ghosts among all of us. It depends how us as humans choose too see and feel it. Having ghost in movies makes it more interesting and gets the audience on there toes.
