I don’t know how far back my heritage goes but I am German, Swedish, Irish and Cherokee. I believe it is important to know your heritage because you get see where your ancestors came from and appreciate the hard work it took to get where we are now.

On both sides of my family, my ancestors came from either Scotland or Ireland just a handful of generations back, it’s important to know family history and ancestry because you can pass that information on to future generations

The only thing that I know about my family history is that on my moms side I am Italian, German, and British. On my dads side my great great grandfather traveled alone by horses at age 16 from the south and came to Manan Idaho and raised a family and grew crops.

My family has kept a fairly good record book of our heritage. We came from Italy predominetly, but others places like Germany, and Sweden. I think it is important because ot connects you to your past.

My family is Armenian, Norwegian, German, and Irish. My sister and I are both 50% Irish. We go pretty far back to our family history. We can from Ireland, Norway and Germany I think. I think it’s important because we should all learn about our past and who we are actually related too because it’s an amazing thing to know for when you get older in the future.

My family originated in Germany and England. The Linger side of my family came over from Germany during the revolutionary war to fight against the Americans and then turned on Britain and joined the U.S. his name was William Linger The Jones side of my family came to America from England’s during the 1800s. Hi sorry name was Thomas E. Jones. It is important to understand your ancestors history so that you know where you come from and it’s a connection and respect towards those before us. That way we also may be respected and have a connection with those after us who remember us.

I know a lot about my family history and the records on family search are very extensive. Most of my ancestors come from England and Ireland. I don't really know why its important to know ones family history. It's not all that applicable to current life.

My heritage mainly comes from Europe. Most of my dads ancestors come from England but my moms come from Ireland and Norway. When my mom took a DNA test we found out that she is 70% Scandinavian. I think it is very important to know where you come from and how your family got to where you are now.

I know very little about my heritage, I am Germany mixed with the littlest bit of Native American. I don’t know specifics of where they came from all I can do is just guess the country they came from. I don’t think it’s as important as it uses to be because now they go off where you were born. Now ancestry is mainly used as a conversation starter or just a fascinating fact.
