In some sectors, like a store watching for shoplifters, but otherwise really only serves to promote paranoia and give a tool to weed out the opposition.

I believe that video surveillance has made the world a safer place. Video Surveillance has helped everyone especially law enforcement. We can catch criminals and catch events happening that could be important.

It depends on what it is used for whether that be to catch someone in a act or using it to spy on someone just because you can.

Video surveillance is a huge benefit to society. It provides passive protection to people and their stuff. it also promotes the standard to always act like good no matter who is watching.

I think video surveillance has made the world a better place because it has caught many criminals. It helps people protect there homes and businesses protect themselves as well. If it is used for good then there should be no problem with it unless you are doing something wrong.

Video surveillance has done a lot of good for stopping and preventing crime. The main problem is that it can limit privacy so it should not be used in excess. For example it should not be used in bathrooms, phones etc. So although it has helped make the world become a better place it must have limits.

It depends on the situation, and who is using the surveillance video. Criminals can use the cameras for their own use, but cops can also use them to find those who are committing crimes.

It has and it hasn't. On one end you have it helping catch criminals and hold said criminals accountable for their crimes and on the other end you have it being used to commit crimes such as "creeping" and stalking. I think video surveillance has been primarily a good thing.

In the sense of safety surveillance, it is helpful to society to keep everyone safe even when there are no direct eyes seeing things. However, people use surveillance for their own benefit and it can get o of hand.

I think that it just depends what it gets used for. It helps so much keeping the world a safer place. But in some cases with privacy it crosses the line. So yes it’s good but does cross some privacy factors.

I think video surveillance has made the world a worse place. I believe there is too much surveillance. At the bank or insides stores is one thing but around every corner is another.

I believe video surveillance has helped when it comes to our safety and giving people a sense of safety, but it also makes us lose much of our privacy. We no longer have to worry about having most things taken from our stores and our property can be protected as well. This is why surveillance is helpful.

In the end there is always going to be crime weather we can catch them or not. I think that cops can abuse the power of surveillance very easily. It is also easy for criminals to hack into security systems.

I believe video surveillance has/can make the world a better place. Many crimes have been caught due to the ability of surveillance cameras.There are just a few flaws because the "power" that video surveillance holds can be taken advantage of or be misused.
