When people in the past had control they did and said things that have impact today and will forever. But the people leading the world today can and will censor things from the past giving them control over what we can know. There are many ways that people can control there own past such as getting over hardships from the past or telling lies and controlling what they tell others about there past.

I agree that the people of the past controlled the future. The way people look at history depends on their point of view, which is dependent on what they are allowed to see.

I agree that the things that people say can affect the future and how we think. There are time when people can sensor thing and stop use form hearing everything.

I agree things people say can and ill affect them for the rest of their life, especially in salmon and small towns where the word gets around.

The quote means that the people who had control during the past are the people that shape the future. It also says that the people who are now in charge can also control what people think of the past. I agree with both parts of the quote. If you are in control, you can literal make history out to be whatever you want. I agree that the people in power can shape the world to their liking.

This quote means that the people who lived in the past can shape the future. The second part means that the people in the future can control what we know about the past and how we think. I agree with both parts of the quote. If you are higher up in power you can control the future and how it’s shaped.

I agree with this quote. What has happened in the past can affect us and this world for forever. Things people said or did, good or bad, will affect us forever. The people now and in the future are looking back reflecting on what happened and are trying to make it better or keep things from the past going.

No matter what happened in the past, it affects someone or something in the future. I agree with this quote because in the world today, people are a lot more sensitive than they used to be. Which grants us the opportunity to learn from the past and reflect what we have learned on the future. We get over our past by learning to deal with our hardships or growing from constructive criticism.

I believe that the past is the past and should left there there. We have no way to control it. I also believe to just live with the flow, and don't try to control things you cant. People that try and control things they cant end up miserble and hating life. Bad things happen and we just have to learn to live with it and not let it tear us down.

I too try to “go with the flow” but it still drives me crazy when I can’t control things that are affecting my life every once in a while. I agree bad things happen and we have to learn to not let it tear us down and learn from our past mistakes and other.

I believe that the past is in the past. Although we can learn from it we should not be hung up on it. The best thing to do is just go with the flow of life. If you try to change the past you will be a sad and miserable person. We might try and control the past by being hung up on a person or object .

I think the past is in the past and that there is no point in having the past effect us in any way. We might as well live in the present and do what we need to do to better us and the people around us, especially because we do not know what will happen in the near future.

I think what the quote means is that everything you've been through can help you change how your going to present yourself in the future. Things you want to do in the future can be corrected by the mistakes in the past to keep you from doing it again. I agree with the quote because there are things I've learned the hard way and can prevent me from having to learn it again in the future.

The people in the past wrote our future and how it would be. The present now will be the past soon and that is how we control our future by controlling our past. In history book and such though information has been cut out to make it better taking parts of our past away there for affecting our future.

We control our Past from all the historical things that happened. Everything they did has impacted us on everything we do today. Without some of the things in the past we probably wouldn’t have today. The way we can control our past is moving forward and trying to do something different if we weren’t happy with the outcome.

The quote is saying that the version of you from the past has all the control of what you are doing now and whatever you do in the future will change the way you see the past. I completely agree, its in the same way that the past is how you choose to see it.

Whatever has happened in the past will no doubt affect someone in the future. People that have a big word in todays history can change what we hear about the past. Also just stories can change overtime.

The quote means that the people who had control of the past could tell those what their future would become because they did have control. Also it says that those that are in control now can control the past by just saying what they want us to believe. The past can be controlled by just only remembering what is wanted to be believed. By doing this the things that don't want to be known are soon forgotten because they are not talked about. In my past there are things that are not discussed therefore soon to be forgotten and not passed on to the next generations.

I agree with the quote. The past formed our future but in the future you can say that some things might not have happened or things that didn’t happen occurred. Personally I don’t need to change my past because it has formed my future into a good one.

The quote makes sense. Because of the past is why we have everything we do today. The present controls the future because what we do today could be the reason why we might have something in the future. I don’t need to change my past. It all happened for a reason and it’s in the past for a reason.

In the past the people that had control did and said things that are still taught today. So in a sense if you controlled the past you control the future since whatever it is that you did it isn't going away. Who ever controls the present also controls the past because they can pick and choose what pieces of the past people get to know about. I agree with both of the statements above because of these reasons.

The quote says in my opinion that the people who control the future in our lives have also controlled our past. The person that ho controlled both of those is ourselves. We try to control many factors and we can only control so much.
