In my opinion the king is the most deceptive. I think it’s the king because he’s hiding the fact that he killed hamlets father. But we know that he did it.

The king is the most deceptive character in my opinion because he was playing off that he didn’t kill hamlets father and is with hamlets mother right away after he is dead

The king is. This is because he is pretending he never killed hamlets father. He is now making excuses to kill Hamlet out of fear that hamlet will kill him.

To me it will be the queen. It seems like she is hiding more then she is telling. She moved on from her husbands death to the kings own brother without showing any grievance. Seems like she knows something about it.

The king is the most deceptive. It is because he killed hamlets dad and won’t tell the truth about it. And he is tricking everyone most of the time hiding it.

I believe that the King is the most deceptive character in Hamlet. He was the one that killed his brother. He is lying to everyone to make them believe he didn't do it and trick them into think that he is a great guy.

I think hamlet is the most deceptive. He changes the way he speaks based on the people he is around. Like how he speaks differently to his mother than he does to Ophelia.

I think that the most deceptive character is hamlet because after he meets with the ghost he acts crazy so people would leave him alone while he plans his revenge.

I think the queen is the most deceptive character. When Claudias kills his brother (the king) to get to the throne. The queen is the deception in that situation.

I think the king is the most deceptive. He has an entire kingdom fooled and under his control. He also is so deceptive he gets nervous about everyone else, he thinks hamlet is a threat so he has him spied on.

In my opinion the king would be the most deceptive. I say this because he acts like everything if okay even when he killed his brother. Then tells lies about how he died.

I think it would be the queen. She promised that she wouldn’t marry after the old king died but right after he died she got married.

Reply

1/22/2020 10:38:31 am

The king is by far the most deceptive hiding that he killed the king. He is also deceptive in how he hides this from hamlets mom and marries her. Even more he tries to sent hamlet to England but it is just a deception and the real motive is to have him killed upon arrival.

I believe it’s hamlet. Hamlet is not only making everyone think he is crazy but he is deceiving himself into thinking his not crazy. He must continually lie to cover up his other lies.

Reply
Brooke

I didn’t think about that. I could see how hamlet is deceptive.

Reply
Brooke
1/22/2020 10:39:37 am

The king is defiantly the most deceptive person because he was able to hide the fact that he killed Hamlets father. Then the king marries his mom with out asking Hamlet about it or talking to him. The king thinks that he is untouchable and when he finds someone that could be a threat he sends them away.

The king because he killed his own brother

I would think that Prince Hamlet himself is the most deceptive character in the play. While his uncle did kill his bother and tried to cover it up (and Polonius’s death too) it was revealed by some means and thus failed. Prince Hamlet is both legitimately and acting insane when he’s not as much as others think he is. Hamlet fools everyone to the real reason to his somewhat fake actions that not even his uncle, now king, could fully grasp why. At least, not for long.

Charlie

The king, because he deceived the entire kingdom that the old king killed himself and was going to have Hamlet killed in secret.
