What comes to mind when you hear the word "enlightenment"? How has becoming enlightened in different areas changed your perspective of the world? Explain.

What comes to mind is a very bright world. I am not very enlightened. Therefore I have no clue how it would change my world perspective.

When I think of the word enlightenment I think of someone being enlightened. I think that being enlightened opens up your mind to new things. It’s pretty cool.

When I hear English ted I think of being taught or learning something useful. Some things I have been enlightened about is politics, this has helped me decide who I am going to vote for. I have been enlighten many other subject that have became useful to my life also.

When Ihear enlightenment I think of a the peace after a tragedy. It has changed my perspective because there is a lot of bad things in the world and when you feel at peace with wht has happened it settles down.

Becoming enlightened to me in different areas would be just knowing a lot about that subject. This has helped me because when you know ally about something you can enjoy it more. Also when you know a lot about something you have knowledge about that subject.

Being introduced to new things is always good. Sticking to the same things gets boring and being “enlightened” adds something new to your agenda. What comes to my mind when I hear Enlightenment is being introduced to something. Or someone giving somebody a “piece of their mind”.

Enlightenment to me means to be told something new that allows my mind to be changed on the topic. Multiple things have enlightened me in my life. Such as learning about how other countries are not as wealthy as us.

When I think of the word enlightenment I think of knowledge. Enlightenment helps you understand a topic in a way that you didn’t think about. Being enlightened about different topics could help spread the knowledge to people that don’t know about that topic.

When I hear the word enlightenment I think of the Buddha and a few others that have learned through meditation. Enlightenment in a few areas have turned my view of the world into one that isn’t helpful because I see more negative than positive.

When I here the word enlightenment, I think of the American Revolution and how it started with us no longer wanting a king and wanting our natural rights. Becoming enlightened in various areas can change how the world is shown in different ways that can be good or bad. An example of this is with Vladimir Lenin, he read the “Communist Manifesto” and it changed his entire outlook on how politics should be. In his eyes the idea of communism was a good idea and better than capitalism and socialism in every way. In turn, his biases for communism grew, and he didn’t see how much more corruptible than capitalism it really was.
