I believe parents have the right to know who there children spend there time with. They may look at who they call and talk to. To prevent one may lock there phone.

I feel that parents do but to a certain extent. The more they are strict the sneakier the kids will be

They can spy all they want on me but they might regret it. There are many examples of this as my fellow classmates knows.

Parents will only spy on you until they see something they don’t want to then they will stop because they are scared to see you again

They shouldn’t have any right to spy on kids. They might find out things they don’t want to know.

I feel like the more strict the parents the more sneaky the kids so like I don’t think parent should even spy on their kids. Like I get them keeping up with what’s going on in their kids lives but spying just ain’t it chief. I feel like trust between parents and kids would prevent “spying”a lot.

It depends on the kid. If he has lied to you time and time again. You might have a right to go see what he is up too. A way to prevent this is to be honest with your parents, and tell them where exactly you are going.

I definitely see where you are coming from a very good point. Kids can give reasons for parents to question their actions

Parents have the right to know what their kids are doing but, the kids still need their own privacy. If a kid begins getting in trouble then a parent might start monitoring what they are doing. If the kid starts doing very well then the parent might give them more privacy.

Parents shouldn’t have the write to spy on their kids. If the kids are trustworthy then why spy on them. Being honest would prevent parents spying on the kids

I definitely do believe that as kids get older they start to learn to think for themselves and start to judge the people around them more and more. I don’t think that parents should spy on their kids at all, try to be on the same paGe as them.

I think most are somewhat checking on there kids but others are super strict. What I have seen is the stricter the parent the more the kids hid stuff and lie about things.

Parents will spy on kids all they want to but they generally should spy lesst older they get. There is a good chance they will not like something so they might avoid it. If a kid is acting wrong they might spy more.

I think parents have a right to know what their kids are doing but if you have to spy on your kids then clearly their are more issues already. We as kids have to learn for ourselves what the world is like We cant be shielded from the world forever and should be aloud to have some privacy in our lives.

I agree and you make an excellent point that we do have to figure things out on our own and to have parents constantly spying on us doesn't make that easy.

I think it depends on how the child is acting. Under most circumstances I feel that children should be given less scrutiny than a lot of parents give them. If for some reason the child is acting different or badly that is the only circumstance this should happen.

I think that parents should let their children grow on their own but check up on them every once in a while. There is parental control to limit what the child can look up. Technology really can help and prevent this for parents to spy on their children.

Unless your child gives you a reason to spy on them. I don’t think there are certain circumstances that allow or prevent there parents form spying on their kids. Parents should give their kids a chance and shouldn’t immediately spy on them.

There are pros and cons to both sides. On one hand, a parent checking or spying on their kids can let them know how they’re doing or know if they need help with something. On the other hand, it could be a means of trying to obtain a reason to control their kids’ lives or show a lack of trust of said kids. It’s a grey area that I don’t know whether it is good or not.

I believe that parents have the right to check on their children if they they are suspicious. One circumstance that can cause this is a loss of trust in their child.

They have the right to check up on them anytime they would like to the extent that they are not invading privacy depending on the age. To prevent this some kids may put a password on their phone or a lock on their bedroom doors.
