Journal Prompt
Do you believe in ghosts or the supernatural?  Why or why not?  Why do you think they remain so prevalent in our stories and folklore?

I do not believe in ghost. I have never seen anything to make me thing or prove that they are real. Everyone was very gullible back in the day for tales and stories to believe in.

I do believe in ghosts but not the supernatural because sometimes things happen that we can explain or we see shadows. I think it remains in stories because it keeps people imagination alive to believe or think of what could be impossible.

I think that there are some things we cant explain that could be ghosts or something else. They remain prevalent because they give us comfort in having an answer for the unexplainable

I do believe in ghosts, because I hear random noises all the time and it freaks me out. I think they stay prevalent in our stories because people can get scared because we don’t know if they are real or not, and they could pop out and get you.

I don’t think ghosts are real because most of the “unexplainable” events could be explained by some sort of science. I think that people get scared and immediately explain it of as the supernatural. People think of all kinds of things when the adrenaline is pumping.

I do believe in the supernatural sometimes. Things that can’t be explained freak me out. I love scary stuff and lots of people do. When we get scared our adrenaline goes crazy i think that’s why we keep them in our stories. They make good stories

I do not believe in ghost or the supernatural. I don’t believe in it because if they were real I feel like we would have some evidence or something to support that ghost exist. I think that we make books and movies about ghost because it is unknown and you can creat what ever you want.

I do not believe in ghosts, because I don’t believe that the dead and gone have any abilities when they die. I believe that ghost stories are prevalent because they can help explain things you normally couldn’t.

I do not believe in ghosts but rather spirits. The difference being in that spirits can be good or evil while ghosts are more referred to as evil. I am a firm believer in them because of my family’s ties to the supernatural and witchcraft, as well as having communicated with many spirits before (without the use of a oiji board). I say this knowing there will be those who doubt what I say. Only because they speak of what they don’t understand, and I respect that. But truth is stranger than fiction. It is the meddling of such things that create these stories and folklore, of doubts and beliefs of an entire world that those of witchcraft and not, that meddling with dangerous things for proof. As well as stories about people outsiders do not understand, and yet find what words make sense to describe stories with little truth but great fiction. This is why the supernatural and occult find their way into our tales. Showing the horrible truth, or up played truth.
