I agree with you in the way that if it offends you, then just don’t read it. It’s not that hard to stay away from books that you don’t want to read. People just like to complain about everything.

I don’t know any books that have been banned or that have been challenged in school libraries. I don’t think books should be banned because every once in a while it’s good to be able to sit down and read.

I think Harry Potter has been challenged before. I do not think that books should be banned because if you ban books you suppress knowledge and learning for everybody. If you disagree with a books message don’t ruin it for everyone.

Yes this is very true we all have different beliefs on a books message and we shouldn’t be banned for, reading because a higher power said it sends the wrong idea

A book I remember reading that had been banned is Animal Farm. I don’t think that it should be banned. It is a very good book because it uses animals instead of people to show a event in history.

The Lorax is a banned book. I feel like books shouldn’t be banned because they’re literally words on paper and someone actually put effort in writing them to be read.

Black Boy, Captain Underpants. I don’t think that some books should be banned, some give a different perspective of the world. I think we that it’s also the reader’s choice to read the book itself.

I believe that To Kill a Mockingbird and The Great Gatsby is banned. I don’t think that books should be banned from libraries or schools because usually they are apart of history and are categorized as “explicit” nowadays because in society today, you have to watch what you say because everything can be taken offensively.

A book that I looked up that is surprising banned is The Great Gatsby. I think that books shouldn’t be banned just not recommended for the younger people. I think this because some people wouldn’t want their children to read it because of the scenery or language. But they might want to read it.

The Grapes of Wraith is a banned book I know of. It was banned because it promoted communist ideas. I don’t think books should be banned because we as Americans have freedom of the press which would include any books I believe. I think books are banned to get rid of any new or opposing ideas which is unfair to the people who should be able to think for themselves and decide for themselves.

The only books that I know were banned in various places is the Harry Potter Series, because I was “promoting witchcraft” (however that was only true with people who have mental problems). I don’t think books should be banned for the same reason we shouldn’t banned video games, movies, or the freedom of expression and entertainment as a whole. If these things were banned, you would also infringe on the freedom of religion. After all, the Bible has a lot of gruesome and “adult content” in it that would cause it too to be banned. We would also loose historic knowledge of the good and bad. If books were banned, then you spit on everyone one of the founding fathers and people who wrote the constitution and the bill of rights.
