I do not know very much about my family heritage. I know back to my great grandparents and they are all from the states. I think it is important to some people on where they came from but you also shouldn’t let whatever ethnicity be the judge of your personality.

I know my don’t know a lot about my family history but I know they come primarily from Ireland. I don’t feel it is too important to know my family history at this point in my life as it’s in the past.

I disagree that it isn’t important not knowing. I think you should always know where you come from. It shows basic human diversity.

I know that I am like 25% Irish. Other than that I don’t really know I get different answers every time I ask. I think that it is important to know your ancestry it’s apart of who you are. Your heritage makes you who you are. It’s good to know the history that your families have.

I know on my dads side back to my great great grandfather that side of the family is from Germany and Irish. I don’t know anything on my moms side except that some are from Poland and Syria. I don’t think it’s necessarily important to know your ancestry but it sure is something cool to know.

I don’t know my families history very far back but I do know that on my dads side we are from Germany. I would say that it is not as important to know you’re heritage today as it was a couple hundred years ago. Today we don’t really care what your heritage is so it doesn’t affect us.

The most I know is I’m part German from my grandmas side. As a kid she always made German meals. That’s as far back as I know and I don’t really know what all countries my ancestors came from. I feel like it is important to know so one day you can tell your kids where their history comes from.

I only know my father on his side of the family. His family comes from Ireland and he is full Irish. On my mother’s side I know up to my great great grandparents. They all come from different backgrounds. They come from Mexico, Germany, and a few others I’m not sure of. It is important to know where you came from to know who you are.

My family is German and Irish. I don’t know much about my families history. Yes, it is important to know your ancestry. It gives us our knowledge of where we came from and our diversity from other people. Knowing our family stories keeps them alive for the next generation to understand where they come from too.

On my Dad’s side of my family are war heroes like my grandpa (who was also chief of the Wyandotte tribe) and 3rd great grandpa. Now my 3rd g grandpa married a pure Wyandotte woman named Minerva. Several generations more and there’s past several war veterans and now to a king called Sir Frances Wortley, he was a king in Wales where he lived in Wortley Castle (a castle that is still around and still owned by my family). On my Mom’s side there’s Cherokee and Romani (Gypsies). Along with a few practitioners of witchcraft. Then later there’s a Cornel in the American Revolutionary War for the U.S. Along with somewhere in there is a little bit of Hebrew.
