I think the quote means that once someone gains control they don’t lose that control over something. I would say that I agree because people like to have control over at least something.

Many of our beliefs and moral views are based on experiences in the past. So rewriting history also in turn rewrites our moral compass in a way.

Our present and future were all thanks to powerful leaders in the past such as presidents and other world leaders. But people currently in power also have major influence on how we view or know of the past.

Prole tend to look back in time when making desicions, so if history is presented a certain way, then they will act accordingly.

It sounds like the aftermath of a battle or war to me. Whoever won the war in the past is in charge and they control what happens in the future. They also control what is taught about their history. I definitely agree that people in power can control the future of others and also what their history says.

It implies that many people allow the past to define their future and those in power may have the ability to manipulate the general public into believing things of the past that can affect their future. I agree with this to an extent, if we allow the past to define our future then of course it will, but if we start to live for the future without the restraints of the past then the past won’t dictate our lives anymore.

I half agree because the present can control the future but it cannot control the past unless it’s rewritten.
