I agree, he has fooled everyone and that only adds to the deception.

I’m not sure if everyone thinks he’s so amazing but yeah he does murder his brother in cold blood.

I think Hamlet is the most deceptive character. He is constantly plotting and scheming against his uncle. One of the most notable scenes is when he asks Horatio to observe Claudius during the play to see his reaction to the murder scene.

I think Hamlet is the most deceptive because he is the one attempting to destroy his uncle. Many people are lying to others in the play but Hamlet is the only one premeditating all of this.

I think The king/uncle/dad guy is the most deceptive. He killed hamlets dad and then took over the throne and is with his sister in law/wife/queen. It’s a messed up but interesting story

To me, Hamlet is the most deceptive. I say this because he has a way of tricking every one as to whether he loves Ophelia or not. He tells people he loves her, but then tries to trick her into believing that he never got her the gifts.

I think that Claudius is the most deceptive character because he acts like he cares about his brother and his nephew but in reality he just wants the power that comes with being the king.

In my opinion Claudius is the most deceptive character. He assasinated his own brother just for his benefit so that he could become king. He betrayes others to gain more power.

Not only that but he made himself out to be the good guy and he has no intention of giving up the charade. Hamlet is lying but only to uncover his uncles secret.

The uncle is the most deceptive because as apart of the dramatic irony, the reader knows the truth. He committed a crime to Hamlet’s father and easily hid it until Hamlet found out, making him appear innocent to others.

I think the King is the most deceptive character because he was able to kill his brother, steal the throne and his brother’s wife and no one blinked an eye.

Claudius, because he is lieing to everyone about killing his brothers so he could be king while using his powers as king to have many of his subjects spy on Hamlet for him.

Although Claudius is one of the top contenders, I actually think the Queen may be the most deceptive. The Queen likely knows that Claudius killed her ex-husband, if not helped him in the matter. She was also likely already having an affair with Claudius before the king died. She acts, or at least tells Hamlet that she is sad about his father’s death, but doesn’t seem bothered in the least. She also acts sad and offended when Hamlet is insinuating that Claudius killed his father.

If she did know about the kings death she’s doing a good job pretending not to know about it.

I say Hamlet is the most deceptive. His act of madness is a huge form of deception that is used to draw attention away from his suspicious plan to prove that Claudius killed his father. It’s one big deception.

I think the new king, Claudius, is the most deceptive character. He killed his brother, married his brother’s wife and became king. He pretends to be an amazing person and no one know what he did.
