It reflects how the Middle Ages value the high class in regards to the knights and forbids poor people from competing. The ability to change classes reflects modern values because it is easier done now compared to the Middle Ages.

The concept of never changing your status was displayed all through out with characters explaining how Will couldn’t be a knight. Will overcame this idea with determination and a little help from the prince. He beat the system so to speak and overdid everyone’s expectations.

The movie reflected the Middle Ages with the culture seen and the surroundings but matched our common day love story. There were puns for modern day things like Nike and jokes about present ordeals.

The idea of chivalry reflects very middle aged themes. The idea of “changing your stars” reflects a very modern ideal that was not a part of the Middle Ages because of the social order they had.

It reflects how in the Middle Ages there was high class and low class. It’s was harder to change your class back then but it is a little easier in this day and age.

It’s shows that if you are in a class then you can’t change that and if you do then you may be better respected. Yes we have different classes but we are able to change them by working hard. Also women are treated differently like an object or a prize to be won. That still kind of applies today.

The values are honor, glory, women, only the nobles really mattered. In modern time you can change who you are, you don’t have t be noble to matter, any one can be what ever they want.

Women are viewed as property’s and noble woman are married to form alliances between families and not for love. It is modern because you can change your status and William and Jocelyn are married because they love each other.

The movie reflected the Middle Ages through the culture. Z the way the story was told. However it represented a modern love story instead of one that would have been back then. There were also examples of chivalry in the movie.

The movie reflects Middle Ages because poor people can’t compete in the tournaments, it’s only a high class thing. The movie reflects more modern society because William changed his stars which was not easily done back then but is done more commonly now.

It reflects how women were only really valued for their looks, as he ‘falls in love’ with her after only seeing her face. It reflects modern values because the lady is outspoken and independent.

Women being considered less than men. This is shown in the church when the priest shushed the noble woman and when the blacksmith was first introduced. Arranged marriages are also shown. The bad guy was talking to the noble woman’s father about arranging a marriage with her.
The woman showed that they were just as strong as the men by pointing out flaws and doing what they knew they should be able to.

It reflects strongly on the two social classes during the Middle Ages. Modern values are slightly different because you can change your status much easier than you could during that time.
