Yes, it doesn’t happen to all people in power but some get corrupted.

I do think that power corrupts. When a person is given more power they usually act like they are higher than everyone else. Thus creates the feeling of inequality among the rest of the people.

I don’t think it always corrupts people but it happens sometimes, but I think it depends on who the person is and why they are in a place of power whether they are doing it for a cause or themselves.

I believe it does. When people have power it gets to their head and makes them more greedy. You can see it on larger scales with people who have a lot of money trying to get more or on smaller scales like an older sibling using their status to boss younger siblings around.

Greed can be a very bad thing in a place of power

I believe that power can corrupt a person. The power can get to someone’s head and they believe that they are better than everyone else when really everyone is the same. The more power someone is given the more they can do with it. Whether it be good or bad.

Yes and no some people want power because they are already corrupt. But some people seek power with good intentions and then become corrupt because of it.

I think having power and status brings out everyones ugly side some peoples are just worse than others.

I believe in weak people power corrupts, but if the right people are given power they can use it to better the world and the circumstances within it. The world is full of weak people who hold power and that is why we see so much corruption within every aspect of life. Many people of power are greedy and selfish.

It depends on the person. Power can very much corrupt someone, but others can be corrupted easily by something else in their life.

It does depend on the person but most of the time power will corrupt a person and make them power hungry

Yes I think power corrupts because people start seeing themselves as more important or even better than everyone else’s and that kind of leads to them thinking it’s ok to do horrible things cause their better than them or maybe because they can. A good example of this is the Harvard Prison Experiment

There is definetly a shift in one's mindset when they realize what they can accomplish with their power.

It’s kind of frightening what that prison experiment reveals about a certain group of people. Plenty of corruption is revealed.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. I believe that some power might corrupt people but total power does. We have a checks and balance system in our government just so no branch of government can take total control over the people.

I think that power can corrupt certain people. When someone has a lot of money or they just became the ruler of a country or place it can cause them to get bad thoughts.

I think power does corrupt because the more you have power the more you forget what it’s like to be powerless and you start to make poor decisions that only benefit those in power.
