Take a quick look at this article for a scientific approach to some of the traits that separate humans from other animals, and then respond to the following questions.
What are some physical/biological characteristics that distinguish humans from other animals? Do you think there are any other distinctions not covered in the article? How would you define what it means to be human?

Some physical/Biological characteristics that distinguish us from other animals is a brain that allows us to talk. Yes I do think that their are other distinctions such as be able to pick up other languages and technology. What it means to be human is that we make mistakes but we can innovate and mold how we do things.

Humans have an upright posture and most animals do not.

Some characteristics that separate humans from other animals is our language, long childhoods, and our high intelligence. Something the article didn't mention is how different we learn from other animals. I think what makes us human is how in touch with our emotions we are.

Humans have language and larger brains than most animals. I think all distinctions are covered in this article.

1.humans and animals are different in many ways, in one major difference animals breed until they die. On the contrary humans live past the ability to reproduce. also humans are expected to have a longer life expectency.

One of the most common differences between humans and animals is our opposable thumbs, however, most primates have opposable thumbs and opposable big toes. Another difference that makes humans unique from any other animal is that we have an upright posture, meaning that we walk on two legs to allow us to use tools with our hands. Being human means that we are all bound to make mistakes and learn from them. We would not be where we are now if humans gave up the first time we fail.

The main reasons what defines us as being human is having a voice (speech), being able to stand right straight (upright posture), being able to have hands to use (hands), also having a longer span of childhood (longer childhood).

We have bigger brains and can process more things than other animals. we can speak out loud unlike other animals who communicate through other ways. To be a human it means we can have more things going through our heads like emotions, decision making, and the ability to make executive decisions.

some of the physical and biological characteristics that distinguish humans from every other animal on earth is speech our ability to create complex languages, walking up right allowing us to free our hands and use tools it also makes childbirth dangerous, our lack of visible hair humans have very small and thin strands of hair we actually have the same amount of hair follicles as a chimpanzee, clothing is only seen in humans for the reason we use it monkeys and chimps have been seen wearing necklaces and earrings made from the remains of animals and grass. Some of the characteristics that we have that were in the article are our extensive tool use, death awareness and moral sensibilities. What it means to be human is to be able to fail and try again, to never give up, to help others when they are in need, to care for others even if we don't know them.

Humans have more developed cerebral cortex areas allowing for more complicated thoughts. The article didn't mention how much more complex our tools are compared to other animals. I think what makes us human is our complex tools and evolution.

Some physical characteristics between us and the animal kingdom are speech and our brains. I don't think there are any other distinctions between us and the animal kingdom. Being human is like having a body that you can make better or worse.

Some physical and biological characteristics that distinguish humans from other animals is our upright posture because humans walk fully upright when most animals do not. Another thing is how differently our brains process things like decision making and technology. Being a human to me is to learn and grow.

How you can tell humans and animals apart is by hair. Animals have thicker hair than us. we have thinner and invisible hair. so when we sweat it doesn't get stuck like animals do, ours just goes straight through it (the hair) and keeps us cool. we also didn't wear any jewelry. The first was chimpanzees. We also made technology. We also have a good brain or memories.
