Following the civil war, many African Americans migrated to northern cities such as Detroit, Chicago, and New York in search of better economic opportunities. However, they often encountered systemic discrimination, low wages, and segregated housing that confined them to overcrowded and poorly maintained neighborhoods. These conditions, combined with limited access to stable employment and social services, pushed some individuals toward informal or illegal economic activities as a means of survival. Such circumstances created the observable behaviors from which stereotypes were formed. However, these stereotypes do not reflect inherent traits. They are products of structural inequality and economic exclusion.
What stereotypes do you see are true or false?

Some common stereotypes I see often is the difference between toys in kids isles. Girls tend to have dolls or kitchen sets to play with, and of course head to toe in pink. Boys have race cars or Legos and in mostly in blue colors. When shown these perspectives early on, the kids will think that it is the only way. Some girls or boys don't grow up to follow into the stereotypes the world so it is partially false but mainly true of what the kids grow up to be because of the toys and standards.

You know, I used to not pay much attention to that fact, but I do remember the fact that my sister always enjoyed my toys simply because they weren't pink.

Common stereotypes that I see a few times through out my days is age. You can really see this anywhere we go and lots of people just assume that old people lay in bed or their house all day when in reality they can do lots of stuff. This can also go for younger people when it comes to being on their phones. And how lots of people think all kids are on their phones all the time when its clear many are not.

I agree; many old people are saying Gen Z is lazy, when we have to work more than twice as hard to be able to live a lifestyle like people in the 70s and earlier.
