Everyone spends their free time differently, whether it's occupying that free time with hobbies, just relaxing, or learning something new. What activity (or activities) do you usually do in your free time, and why do you choose to spend your time this way? Explain what makes this activity enjoyable, meaningful, or valuable to you.
For me, I really like playing baseball and hunting in my free time. I really like baseball for two reasons. My first reason I like baseball is because my dad really loves it, and by playing this sport I make him proud whether I perform well or not. My second reason being, I like to be surrounded by friends and by playing this sport you can not only meet new friends but become closer with them as well. Hunting to me is similar to baseball in values to me. I say this because whenever I hunt I am always with someone, my dad or my friends, and I really like the quality of the time that we spend all together in nature.

During the winter, my favorite pastime is skiing. It’s a sport that offers something for everyone—whether you enjoy racing downhill at high speed or taking a slower, more relaxed run. There’s nothing like gliding over fresh, powdery snow with forests stretching for miles around you, or carving quick, sharp turns on packed trails that test your control and precision. Once you master it, skiing becomes a skill---and joy---that never leaves your side.

While I have skied quite a bit I haven’t skied as much as I have snowboarded, yes snowboarding is much better but on a bad snow day of a day when I’ve snowboarded too much recently and it’s getting boring skiing is an good alternative. I have found that to be in the mountains moving at speeds upwards of 60 miles per hour or throwing myself off 40 foot cliffs while it is therapeutic it has more of an adrenaline fix style of therapy and as an athlete if a few different sports further to the extreme side adrenaline is always something I seek out.

Having a hobby that is outdoor related is very important for a person's perspective on the world. There is a desperate need for people to go out and enjoy their world. Many people nowadays are stuck behind screens and don't appreciate the natural beauty right behind them. Also, if everyone went outdoors more, I believe that more people would care about our earth and there would be less pollution and destruction. When people care more about parking lots instead of the earth and animals that live there, there becomes a huge issue in our world.

When it comes to leisure activities or hobbies I have too many to count; kayaking, mountain biking, rafting, running, climbing, hiking, skiing, snowboarding(which is the better sport), and playing guitar. If I were to choose one that is something that I benefit from most I would probably choose running. Running, while it is exercise and mostly hated by most people, I find it incredibly therapeutic. If I’ve had a hard day or I am struggling mentally I will go for a run and something in the chemistry of exercise really alleviates the stress or anxiety or homework block. I also have never come back from a run with more to worry about than when I left. I do my best deep thinking six miles into a run so when I have something on my mind that I need to find a solution to without upsetting everyone around me running is the best way to solve it. Running has also been a part of my life forever, when I was young I would bike along as my dad trained for his ultra marathons and as I got older I started running with him. Something that has been a part of my life for that long with that much therapeutic effect holds a very special place in my life.

Having so many outdoor hobbies is very therapeutic. Especially since it's normally away from social media and other technology. It's good to have hobbies that physically and intellectually strengthen a person, but I also like how you focused on the mentally cleansing side of particular hobbies. Its important for everyone to find an activity that resets their mind.

I never found the interest of running so much till I actually started running, it Can be therapeutic at times. I do agree that snowboarding is better than skiing. It's surprising to see someone with that many outdoor activities and have time for them.

While I agree that snowboarding is good in its own way, I believe that skiing is more beginner-friendly. Having two skis is more natural than being fixed to a board. Apart from that, learning whole-body movement instead of just leg pressure the first day might be more challenging. I can attest for that since I tried learning snowboarding last year.

Instead of having free time, I like to fill my time up with as many activities as possible. This includes volleyball, theatre, soccer, ballet, DFY, church events, etc. I choose social events surrounded by people to keep me entertained and uplifted. I find it when I have a lot of free time I get conflicted on what to do. I have many hobbies so just choosing one overwhelms me and makes me regret not focusing on another. Because of this, I usually decide not to do anything but be on my phone until I know what I want to do. Following this, I waste time and get distraught about myself, yet I still don't know what I should do and when. I am always at my happiest when I am very busy and always try to take away as much free time away from myself as possible.

I often find myself on my phone as well when I don't know what I want to do. Sometimes I wander around till something looks appealing to do. It's kind of crazy how different people are just by how they schedule themselves-some with busy schedules and happy and others preffering little activities. I also find it better to always be doing something, it seems better than trying to find something to do.

This is true for me, as I do the same thing. The problem I find is then I don't have time to do anything, and I like having extra time for doing spontaneous activities like going to the movies, playing my favourite games, or hanging out with my friends.

One of my favorite hobbies to do is to draw. I've always loved drawing for as long as I can remember. And I've never lost any interest in it at all, instead it's something I do a lot more now almost every day. I find drawing to be super relaxing when I'm stressed about school or life in general. It's also a fun hobby I like to do to make the time fly by when I have to stay after school for a couple of hours to pick up my brother from practice every day.

For hobbies, it depends the season really. I like doing soccer and track, but in the down time (mainly all year around anyways) I like to run or go to the gym. I've never really been good at running but wanted (and needed to for the sports I play) and once I started I can see why people like it. I started going to the gym with my brother, then decided to go by myself. I like going to the gym, I've never really been the strong type and wanted to start going and ended up liking it. These activities typically take a lot of the free time I have that isn't "dedicated" to homework. I may take up dmaller hobbies but they don't end lasting as long as running and going to the gym.
