When my grandparents were in eighth grade, they had neighboring desks. My grandmother kept a very large marble in her desk that she would take out sometimes during class and play with. My grandpa noticed this habit and started stealing her marble when she wasn’t looking. This was his way of flirting with her. It is funny to think that my grandparents started their relationship in the eighth grade and have been married for over 50 years now. Their relationship is still so filled with love and respect. They have had a huge impact on my view of relationships and how I view potential partners.

I love this. It shows how powerful true love can be when one finds their partner. It’s funny how some relationships can start over the simplest thing, but can leave a lasting impact.

I've always struggled with my relationships, I wish I had a better role model for them growing up. My parents have a great relationship, but I never really understood how to move around them with confidence.

One story that I can remember is the Good Samaritan. There was a man left on the road to die after he was robbed and beat. Everybody else just pasted him by because they were not of his culture. But one Samaritan stopped and helped the man. He gave him a place to stay and made sure he was well taken care of. He showed kindness to a person he didn’t even know, but it has always stuck with me because we should all show kindness to others no matter how different they are. It just shows is everyone can be like the Good Samaritan and treat others how we would want to be treated that we can make the world a better place.

Kindness is definitely a virtue that this world could use more of. I know that I can definitely just shut down and not be kind at times, but I always try to have an open mind.

My dad would always talk about his own childhood when I was younger. He would always have this repeating situation. He has a twin brother, and they absolutely hated each other. They'd use farm tools to hurt each other. They'd break bones, and they even went a whole year without speaking. When one would enter the room, the other would leave. This made me constantly reflect on my own relationship with my brother, and we are very close. One time I felt like he was drifting away, so I started to share a room with him again. He is one of my best friends, and I hope to keep it that way.
