Some study tips that I use when preparing for a test are using flash cards. These are nice and handy because then it can help one study quickly. Another one I like is writing things down. This way helps me remember quite well because writing down the answers and questions helps them stick in my mind better and am more likely to remember it.

Flash cards are really good for quick memorization, but I always forget the information so easily. Do you have any tips for retaining it all?

I have a very hard time using flash cards because I feel like it takes too much time to make them and then study them.

I don't usually study for tests, because the material is very easy. The study guides teachers hand out are pretty much copies of the test. The only tests I "study" for would be the ones in choir, where you have to sing a piece the teacher gives you after a week or two of practice. I like to use things I call anchor notes to center myself throughout the song. A note that repeatedly shows up and one you can tune yourself to if need be.

I typically use the study guides as well, they are always enough for me.

Although I don’t typically study for tests outside of class, I find that going over my notes is always helpful. Writing down what I need to know helps me only if I know what I am writing. In other words, I have to be attentive while writing my notes in class or else I won’t understand the information. Studying for vocabulary quizzes I usually just sit down and read the words and definitions until I memorize them. I know that I need to form better habits before college, but I don’t feel the need to study anything in highschool.
