Senior Project (Cayden)

Right about now is the time everyone should be pretty close to finishing their senior project. You all have put time and effort into completing your passion how you envisioned it to be when you started. Did it turn out the way you wanted it to be? Is there anything you would've changed, like the goals for your project, or would you choose something else entirely?

My project defiantly had some obstacles that I overcame, but it ended up working in the end. I had to alter the design of my cake when I was making it because of how hot it was down in Utah. This caused my buttercream to separate a little bit and prevented it from looking completely smooth. To fix this, I had to go to a baking store and I bought more gold leaf and sugar pearls to go on the cake. I
Loved how my project turned out, Even if if wasn’t the design I had planned.

I would never have thought of the weather playing a role in making a cake. It is so cool that you were able to find other ways to complete the cake so it held up in the conditions it was in!

Did you have to change it all last minute or did you have time to come up with a solid plan b before?

My senior project turned out exactly how I imagined. The end result met all of my expectations, however, the process was much more difficult than i thought it would be. Creating a quilt taught me a lot about patience and the fact that nothing is perfect. I spent hours taking out and redoing, but I am very grateful I took the time to redo and make it my own version of perfect!

I love how all of our projects seem to have taught us about patience, and that not everything will come out right the first time. I was told over and over that practice makes perfect, and it is true.

I love that your project turned out how you imagined it would. There is nothing better than having the end product turn out how you wanted. Making a quilt sounds pretty cool and a fun project.

For my project I chose to make silver jewelry. Although I love my project, there were definitely some mistakes I made that I would go back and fix if I had the chance. In my earrings, the point in which I soldered the hoop together is visible. If I would have taken my time to file the ends more, it would look cleaner. Every time I look at my final product that is all I can focus on. Even though I love the way my matching set turned out, I wish I would have been a little more patient.

Your project is really cool. I love that you made jewelry. I haven’t heard of many people doing that for their senior project. I feel the same way about my project. There was defiantly some flaws that I wish I took a little more time to fix.
