Out of the Clause-it (Chloie)

As Christmas sneaks up on us and we are all frantic to buy presents, hang lights, make cookies and all that jazz, I want to bring us back to a time where we didn’t have to do any of that. Young kids always seem to have more Christmas spirit than anyone else. This is because they all believe in Santa. As we grow older and learn the truth about Mr. Clause, we seem to lose the Christmas magic. When did you learn that Santa was not real? Do you still have Christmas spirit? If not, why do you think that is?

I can’t exactly remember what age I was but I figured it all out in my own when I was younger. I still love Christmas because it is such a fun time of year and w happy one as well. I love spending time with my family and doing traditions year after year.

I learned santa wasn’t real at hockey practice when I was little because “santa” used to come skate with us and the boys on my team told me that it was fake. I still love christmas and the magic that comes with it. Even knowing that santa isn’t real, it still feels like the most magical time of the year.

I agree that Christmas is the most magical time of the year. The snow seems to make it a little bit more magical and I love that.

I've mainly lost Christmas spirit because I prefer to think with my head rather than my emotions. It's the same with school spirit: I have little to none of it. I must've been around the 3rd or 4th grade when I figured it out, I was the first in my class at upper Carmen to realize that Santa want real.

I agree that most find out when they are in grade school from the other kids. Even though it isn’t real I like to think it is still a magical time of the year because it is a time of giving and to be thankful.
