Life Changing Moments (Chloie)

Throughout life, we have experiences that change the course of our lives. Sometimes they might be subtle, changing something minor like the way we think. Other times these things are drastic and change how we act and live our lives. Changing the way we think leads to how we react in different scenarios. Tell me about a moment that changed your life. This could be something simple, or a very large change that you will always remember. In what ways did this alter your thoughts and actions? Do you think this moment changed you for the better?

Something that changed me and had a large impact on my life was track my sophomore year. When I injured my foot I thought it would be a speedy recover, but lo and behold I am still dealing with it. This experience has changed the way I do many things and the way I feel about sports. Back then I would do anything to play a sport even through the pain, but now I would rather let myself get better and stop sports if they pose a problem. I hope in the future I will be able to do track this year and maybe I will be able to, but maybe I won’t.

Track sounds like fun, I wish I would've applied early in my highschool career. What events do you plan on participating in this year?

An event that changed my life would have to be the musical. Not this year's, but one of the previous ones. Before I dabbled in the performing arts, I thought I would grow up to become a mechanical engineer. But my positive experience in the drama department has set my life on a different course, and I'm happy about it

I like that you found what you want to do after being in the play. It is so cool how unexpected things can come from activities.
