Future Plans (Chloie)

Since we have been old enough to talk, we have been bombarded with the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Every time I fill out paperwork it seems that I am asked this. Personally I still struggle with this question. I want to know what your future plans are, and how that has changed throughout the years?

My future plans are to go on a mission for my church after high school, as well as going to school to become a pastry chef. I have wanted to be a pastry chef for most of my childhood and it kind of stuck with me. It all started one day when Sedona Cannon and I baked mini cupcakes in a maker that would bake five at a time. We were convinced that we were going to open up a dance studio with an adjoining cupcake shop. Over time this has shifted to myself opening up my own shop one day.

It is so cool that your love for baking started at such a young age! I love seeing the cakes and other treats that you make, you are so talented!

My future plans include going to college to obtain a degree in elementary education while also studying early childhood education. Ever since I was little I have wanted to be a teacher and loved making my little sister play “school” with me. This past summer I worked at a preschool which grew my love for early childhood education and the opportunities in that field.

Working with children at such a young age must have been so much fun! I am the oldest of all my siblings though, so I know taking care of other, smaller people can be quite taxing. Good luck!

This would be so fun to do. I bet reaching little kids would be way better than older ones. I know if I became a teacher, I world probably do 3rd grade because they would be fun to teach.

Once I graduate high school, I plan to go to a college that has a great theater program that I can major in. I also plan to minor in computer programming so I can have a stable side job that gives me a steady income, in case acting doesn't work out.

This is super cool that you want to get degrees for this. I can totally see you pursue a career in these programs. It is also really smart to have a back up plan in case things don’t work out.
