Journal Prompt
Discuss a time when you experienced revenge.  What side of the revenge were you on?  What was the cause?  Did it solve the problem?

I got revenge on my sister when she ruined my shirt so I ruined one of hers. I was on the right side. It did solve the problem

It's not fun when people ruin your property especially when they don't ask permission to use it.

I had a horrible experience with an ex-friend where I had ended the friendship after a couples years of no respect and I had pulled my arm away after they tried to puppy dog eye me. It did solve the problem on my end but they continued to cause more problems throughout my friend group.

I think that having revenge has no good side to it and I feel it can be just a spiral of it keep going on and on. I don’t think I’ve ever had been involved with getting revenge and I’ve never had to get revenge.

A couple of years ago now I had a huge fight with my sister about who knows what. Things got really heated really quick and she stole my pillow cases and rolled them in the mud before putting them back on. Turns out revenge did nothing to satisfy her anger.

My brother deleted my Minecraft world, so I got revenge by deleting his. I shouldn't have done that because we ended up with no Minecraft worlds. It didn't solve anything.

In band the other trombone player loves to steal my first trombone sheet music because he thinks he is better than me. Although I haven't done anything yet I am planning to make sure he never steals my music again.

Makenna stole my phone once and did not bother to tell me and I started to panic. She ended up giving it back to me. Later on I told her I left my phone in my car and I needed it so I told her to go grab it for me. Little did she know I had my phone and I got on it and she came back upstairs and saw me on it. She did not talk to me for probably 30 minutes. So she got mad and it did not solve anything.

I was involved in a revenge plan when my sister poured water on me to wake her up so I waited until she was ready for school and dumped water all over her hair and face that she just got done curling and just got done putting makeup on. No this did not solve the problem it made things a lot worse and I had to walk to school that day.

One time in the 6th grade, I got on the student council and this boy in my class did not. We had to write an essay about something in my class and so he wrote an essay and made me seems like the villain. So the next week, we had to make a brochure. So I made mine so it said thinks like "visit Sutton Falls, watch Sutton fall" or "Hike to Sutton Look Out, Look Out for Sutton." Yes it solved the problem, I felt satisfied. It actually became a joke and competition that lasted the rest of our high school career. He just texted me the other day to explain that he is senior student council president. I had to remind him it was only because I no longer attend school there and I am still winning because I do not have the nickname "Chuckles".

I can’t remember the last time I’ve been involved in a situation that needed revenge. It rarely solves the problem. But there is times when it can solve the problem. If someone goes way out of bounds and does something wrong to you then you get them back.

One time I took my sisters clothes and she took them back, so I was mad she took them back and kicked her door down to get more, then I ended up living in her room and had to deal with the lock. It definitely made me feel better at the time, so it was worth it.

When I was in elementary school a kid called me "red riding hood" because of my red hair. I shouldn't have cared but at the time I was mad and grabbed handfuls of rocks and threw them at him. I guess it solved the problem because he never said anything to me after that.
