Imagine you are an observer walking through our school for the first time. How might you organize or classify the groups that you encounter? What sort of factors might influence how you classify the people? What judgments might you make about the different groups? Why do we tend to classify and stereotype people in this manner?

I would categorize students based on how they dress mostly. You can tell a lot about a person based on how they dress, and those who dress similarly usually are in the same kind of groups. We usually judge people because of how they act, but sometimes we can judge based on looks as well. I think we do that because it makes it easier for us to categorize ourselves.

Not a lot of people like to admit it but looks can affect how you view a person.

I agree, we always judge people based on their looks before we can judge based on character.

I would classify the groups as country folk anime kids and b boys. We do this by analizing the clothes they where and the way they talk

I would categorize kids mainly on how they behave and dress. I would use typical social grouping names such as jocks, nerds, artists, etc. Though they are harsh names, they are the ones we've adopted. We stereotype people to see where we fit in. We judge ourselves based on how we judge others.

I tend to group people based on trends such as hair, clothes, and how they talk. I don'treally know how to judge people based on appearance because a lot of people act differently than they dress or talk.

I would classify the groups depending on how they dress and how many people are in there friend groups. Also how people are like whether they are shy or loud is a big factor to them.

If I was walking through our school for the first time and I had to identify groups that I encounter I would probably be able to identify the basics of students who get along mainly by their actions. Some other factors would be what they wear such as sports logos on their clothing. Some judgements would be who does sports and who mainly focuses on academic work. I believe that we classify in this manner because based off these things we can find people that we get along with or have similarities with.

I would classify people based on their interest, for example if they play sports or if they are part of plays. Another way you could classify people is how they dress or act. A person can say a lot just on how they dress or how they act.

I would organize groups by what groups people are already in, and who they are around. By what they are doing talking about or how they present themselves and what that says about them. We do this to see what people might benefit us or be bad for us.

In school there are separate groups like the jocks, the smart kids, and the kids that don't really try. Then there are also the kids that are loners and don't socialize much. We stereotype and put people into groups because its easier and that is how we see them.

I would classify the students in salmon highschool by the people they interact with. Such as the athletes talking with other athletes, or the emos talking with emos. We do this because we interact best with the ones we are comfortable with.

If I was walking through the school for the first time I would classify groups by who they hangout with and there popularity. Something that can classify people is by the clothes they where. If people are wearing nice clothes then they are usually more wealthy if they are wearing a sweatshirt with football on it then they are on the football team. We tend to stereotype people because we are to lazy to get to know them.

I think we classy naturally because if we judge people and class them, then we can see where we have the most success and be in a situation where we will be the safest. Ultimately I think its a survival technique, knowing our kind keeps us safe mentally, emotionally, and sometimes, physically. I would classified people based on how extrovert they are.

I would organize students based on their interests. You can usually tell what people like by what they wear, or even items that they carry around. Someone that likes music will usually have headphones, someone that likes sports will usually be wearing a jersey of some kind, or have the school logo on their clothes. I think we stereotype people into these groups so we can find a group where we fit in.

I could tell imeadetly who in the school where athletic it just has to do with the way people who are athletic dress and they way they talk. Kind of in a jock way that also tells you that they are more popular. Then I could point out the outliers of the school the ones who aren't as focused on sports but they are still interested in a school activity like music or art. Then you have the kids with really no definition you can tell because they either are always by them selves or either have little friends. These are just the notifiable ones there are multiple different groups that we dont see every day.
