Imagine you are an observer walking through our school for the first time. How might you organize or classify the groups that you encounter? What sort of factors might influence how you classify the people? What judgments might you make about the different groups? Why do we tend to classify and stereotype people in this manner?

If I was new to the school, I would probably classify the groups based on how they act and what they wear. I would probably make quick judgments off of these people based on whatever group they are in. We often stereotype people because we usually never find the time to actually get to know the person so we just make assumptions.

If I were new to the school I would likely classify people by what they wear and actions they make. I would also likely judge groups of people by how they act around each other. We do this because it’s easier to just assume about a person or group than get to know every individual we see and meet personally.

If I was an observer, I would probably put people in groups according to their actions, what they wear, and who they associate themselves with. I think we tend to classify people in groups because it’s easier to look at someone and judge them rather than actually get to know them. I think this is very wrong.

How popular they are. That is how most people are classified nowadays. How many friends they have. Could be sassy like popular people are. We dont have a chance to get to know them personally so we assume by what we think they look like

If I was new to this school I would classify groups by their personality and how they dress. Society sets these standards and unfortunately today people are quick to judge and form an opinion.

My first thought would be I hate everyone. But then I would just decide where I fit in and who I would contact with. You got a lot of groups but you also have sup groups inside those group. And people change in highschool and lie, cheat and just make life hell.

If it was my first time walking into this school, I would classify people by how the act, what they wear, and what they seem to be interested in. I would quickly judge who I thought was in each group. We stereotype to find people we believe have similar interests or ones we think aren’t interesting.

If I came to this school for the first time I would probably group together the boy group the “cool” girls middle schoolers and then everyone else. This is because you can tell it has been those groups since forever. I would judge them by character and actions. We as people are always making judgments about other people sometimes they are wrong but most the time they are correct at least generally. This is because we need to think fast and keep ourselves safe.

If I was new to this school I would see that there are many different groups of people, judging them would jumping to a conclusion. They all enjoy different things but that doesn’t mean that they should be judged or stereotyped.

I would judge them based on the clothing they wear or how they talk and act. I would say that the assumptions people make are usually right because people give off a certain vibe that tells people what they're like.

If I was walking through a new school for the first time I would probably classify the different groups by the way they act and by what they where. People who do sports tend to wear brands that make sports wear.

If I was new to the school and had no clue about the way things run around here, I would group people based on who they hang out with. First impressions are often stereotypes and I know this school so it’d be hard to try and guess what I would think. We tend to group people because it’s human nature to want to try and understand new or unusual situations.

I would classify people on how they dress probably and how I see them acting. I would guess the people with big backpacks like school a lot because they have a lot of stuff but the people with a flat backpack or no back pack don’t really care about school. We would rather make judgement then spend time to get to know the real them.

I would probably classify people into groups of popularity. You can usually tell by just looking at how people hold themselves. Different groups are most likely very similar, but they differ when you look at smaller mannerisms. It is human nature to analyze the people you see.

If I was going to this school for the first time I would classify them based off of the group of friends and how they act and dress. Each group of friends influence each other, making them act the way they do. We make these these judgments so we can make new friends based off of interest and personality.

If I were a new student here I would classify people by the way they dress and the way they act with their friends. I would classify the people I saw with the stereotype they represented the most. I think it’s easy to group people together and judge them by what you see, especially if you’re the new kid. I see it as more of a survival tactic than anything else in this situation.
