I feel like it would be important because that way they can see if you are a good person and have not killed many people in the past and to see how much you will contribute to it what it may be that you are applying for

Ya it would be good to know whether someone has killed somebody or not.

I agree, one won't want to hire someone who has killed others.

It’d be pretty lame if I hired a serial killer so I agree.

I think that they should be able to see your criminal record so that they can see if you are a liability to their company.

I also think that it’s important to know whether or not they’ve performed well in an educational atmosphere because it can reflect a work ethic as well. I just think that there should be a certain extent to the privacy we have that they shouldn’t be able to see.

I do think they should be allowed to investigate a little bit just to make sure that you will perform well in their school or business. However I do think their should be limits to it. If people want some part of their lives private, for example James Baumer, they should be able to.

I agree I’d like to keep parts of my life private as well without my employer knowing.

I agree that there should be boundaries. I like to keep my private life private Michael John Gebhardt.

I personally believe that an employer, school, or other organizations has the fair right to investigate ones past life. If an employer is looking to hire someone they aren't going to want to hire someone with a background in breaking the law. Same deal with personal life, one won't want to hire someone who looks badly on social media because it'll make their company look bad as well.

I think they should be able to pull up any records needed for the job or by the school to see what you are experienced in and also if the employee has a record or doing bad things or being fired or just doesn't show up to work. Past records from previous employers can show what the person has done.

I think they have a right to see your past such as a criminal record to see if you could be a problem for their organization but they should also respect the privacy of people and not go too far into things.

I think it’s important because it keeps everyone safe. Background checks are especially important for jobs to make sure that the employee is a good citizen who hasn’t broken the law or committed a crime. Investigating a persons past can tell a lot about them and what kind of person they are.

I think that employers and schools should have some right to know past information about you in order to know if you would be a good fit. However, not to a point where it is invading one’s privacy. For an employer they should know about past jobs and other information so they know if you would be good for the job.

Looking at a persons past record would definitely help an employer see if they are right for the job

In general, I think they should only have the right to investigate an individual's past or personal lite to the extent that it is directly relevant to the job or position.

I feel that they should have some right to look into your past to see if the job is suitable for you or if you cause too many problems. I also see that it is okay for them to look if you have any criminal records, so they could tell them how much trouble this person has been in. I don't believe they should have the right to see all the details of our life, for that would make us livestock. We are humans not livestock and we deserve the ability to have some privacy and to have the ability to keep what is precious away from others.

they should be able to see how well they work after they have had their own time to do what the want in their free time. If they work poorly and are partying a lot then they should be fired. If they party a lot but perform well then it should not be worried about.
