“I'm not saying I'm gonna change the world, but I guarantee that I will spark the brain that will change the world.”
What are some songs that have a political message? Do you think music should be used to forward a political message? Can a song actually make a difference in the world? Why or why not?

This is America by childish gambino is a great example of a song with a political message. Personally I think that music should sometimes have a political message when it is an important message. I think that songs can make a huge difference in the world and affect what people think.

“God Bless America” is a song that deals with loving our nation. Many times our country is not loved for what it was developed for and that is living how you want to live. Everyone should listen to this song it is amazing.

We Didn't Start The Fire by Billy Joel is an example of a political message. I think music is a good way to get a message through to people because everyone listens to music so this can be used in good ways as well as bad ways.

A song that has a very strong message is “Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2” by Pink Floyd. Music should be used to forward political messages because it brings out a sense of ethos and can bring awareness to those listening to the song. These kinds of songs can make a difference because it spreads awareness in a way that is different from the normal protests or news articles.

Our national anthem is one song that holds a political message. No I don’t think songs should be used to deliver a political message because some people might not take it as seriously. I do believe a can can make a difference though because they are easily remembered and can appeal to people’s emotions.

Some songs I can think of that have a political message are Imagine by John Lennon, and The Times They Are a-Changin' by Bob Dylan. Music is another form of art expression, which is used to communicate several messages. I agree that music should be used for political messaging just as much as any other messaging. I think that a song can spark minds into creating change through messaging.

One song is "Born In The USA" by Bruce Springsteen. I think music should be used to forward politcal messages because music is powerful and a lot of people like music. I belive a song could make a difference because if its a good enough song a lot of people will listen to it and hear it's message. For example, if I released the song I wrote about James Baumer a lot of people would listen to it.

“We’re not going to take” is a song that proves that America is not going to take any crap from other nations. I believe that music should be used as a political message because it give the uses a message that they have to look for to see what it mean in the world and it could change people perspective on things

I personally don't know any songs that are political. The reason being that I listen to things with just beats and songs I may have heard from time to time that may be political, I don't really try to listen to and I don't actually know it. I personally don't care if music is used to portray a political message because it is just another way to spread what is being talked about. Songs can actually make a difference because people listen to them and pick up what they talk about after listening to them.
