Daily Literary Quote
“In essence the Renaissance was simply the green end of one of civilization’s hardest winters.”
                                                                              - John Fowles, The French Lieutenant’s Woman

Journal Prompt
Discuss a contemporary person (at least 20th century) you think is an ideal “Renaissance Man” (or Woman!) – someone who is accomplished in many disciplines, such as science, art, music, math, dance, acting, etc. – and why.

I couldn't think of anyone recent but I think that Pyotr Tchaikovsky is a true renaissance man. He was a skilled artist and designed the way for future music productions and the future film industry and fairy tales. He took time to study boring musical studies, the science of music, and overall, mastered the art form of classical music.

One ideal "renaissance man" could be Ryan Reynolds. Ryan Reynolds is in a multitude of movies as an actor, Not only this but he has also published recent videos of him singing. This could suggest that he is accustomed to many types of art though he only displays few.
