Daily Literary Quote
"When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses."

Power makes people corrupt because when people have power they feel reckless and selfish and takes their mind away from caring for others. Kim Jung Un is very corrupt as he does not show any care for the lower class of his country.

I believe that power corrupts because I believe that people that rise to power usually have good intentions that is why they are granted power. The power gets to their heads and corrupts them because they realize the power they have. A person rising to power is probably when Riley realized he was absolutely yoked, he started hurting Michael and Myself physically and mentally.

I believe power corrupts people. People who all of a sudden find themselves in situations of power can become transfixed in the control they now have. They could have been a respectable person with morals but power soon leads them to make poor decisions that corrupts them. Many political figures have been found to be corrupt and abuse the power that they have over our government.

I believe that power corrupts people. As soon as someone gains power they enjoy being in control so they do whatever they can to maintain it, which leads to a corrupt person. I'm sure there are plenty of news stories about corruption in the position of power today but I can't think of any right now.

Many people search for control which does lead to corruption as well.

Both people that earn power start to become corrupted and they start to see things differently, corrupt people tend to want more power because they want more for themselves making them more corrupt the more they earn.

Corrupt people seek power. They do this so they can do whatever their heart desires. Adolf Hitler hated Jews so he wanted power to kill them.

But do you think that it was a byproduct of his political successes that he rose to power and then created an antisemitic view or was it after he rose to power that he developed his antisemitic view?

I think that power can corrupt people. However, it also depends on how much power that person has, what their morals are, and the importance and publicity of their position. With whatever power they have, they may think that they're doing the right thing, but also by hurting hundreds or people or supporting a system or industry that also hurts people.

I think power corrupts people. Power has a tendency to create an abuse of itself in situations where people have too much. Vladimir put is a great example as the rest of his country does not want to go to war but he is creating the war and fueling it.

I think power corrupts because when someone has a lot of power they sometimes start to think they are better than everyone and it makes them do horrible things sometimes. An example is Voldemort because as he becomes more powerful he becomes a worse person.

I believe that power corrupts because once you have power you slowly become corrupt no matter what, there is no good when it comes to you having power there is only a select few that that have good in them when they have power. A news story that I can recall is smeagol from lord of the rings he was a very nice guy until he felt the power of the ring and started to become a very corrupt and small for some reason.

I think that people that seek power and get it end up corrupt because of the fact they have an amount of power and they think they are better than everyone else. I don’t recall see anything.

I think power corrupts people. The largest example I can think of is political figures. Most don't go into office with a corrupt mindset and they really do what to fix their town, state, or nation. But as time goes on as a very powerful person they begin to become corrupt. A story I know of corruption is in the basketball world with Tim Donaghy, a official who would bet on his own games and make teams lose.

I think power corrupts people. A person my be good but once they have power, it corrupts thier decisions. At the moment, I cannot think of any news store about corruption in a position of power.
