Daily Literary Quote
“They had far more in common than either realized. One was born Catholic, the other Protestant. One was born Irish, the other British. But neither was the greatest difference between them. One was born rich and the other poor.”

Journal Prompt
What social classes exist in America?  Do you think all classes are treated equally?  Why or why not?  Is it easy to change one’s social class?

Seeing as how there are still a large majority of homeless people, and people who are living in poverty, I would say there are economic classes today. They aren't given the same opportunities, so it is harder to get out of the class you're in.

I feel like the social classes are not treated equally. If you are in a higher class then you are most likely in a higher status. There is upper class middle class and lower class. It is not easy to change someone's social class but its not impossible.

high class middle class and below are the classes that come to mind. the classes are not treated equal and it is not easy to get from middle class to high class but it is easier to go down the social ladder.

In America we have high class, middle class, low class. Not all classes are treated equally because a lot of the stuff in America you cant be poor to have or purchase, and everyone looks up to famous high class people. It is hard to change ones class but if determined its ppossible.

Social classes are upper class, middle class, and lower class. I do not think the classes are treated equal because depending on the class you are in the more opportunity you have.

The classes in america are upper class middle class and lower class. I don't think the classes are treated equally because people will look up to the upper class and want to be like them and treat the lower class like dirt. It is hard to change your class easily because a lot of times they are born into poverty and its hard to get out.

Most commonly named social classes in America are the upper class, middle class, and lower class. The classes are definitely not treated equally where money holds power and social (schooling) class is elevated. It is easier to change social classes as an adult when more freedoms are applied to a daily lifestyle. To be able to gain important items and statuses to portray the person you want to be.

People are rich and people are poor. The people make it seem bad to be poor and that it is hard to get rich. People just have to put themselves in more difficult situations to get what they really want.

There are the same social classes there has always been, the poor and the rich. These classes are not treated equally, people with nice things are treated nicely, people with crappy things are treated crappy. It is very easy to change ones social class, if I were given a million dollars tomorrow, I could do whatever I wanted, everyone would want a piece of the pie, I would all of a sudden have a lot of friends. Getting that money naturally however, would not be easy.

I think there are three main social classes upper, middle, and lower. It think for the most part each class is about as equal as they can be. The lower class has assistance from the government to help them live more comfortably. The upper and middle class will have more luxuries but all class for the most part are able to live comfortably.

I think that there are three social classes in America, High class, middle class, and lower class. The social classes are not treated equally, Higher class people are treated completely different then people of the lower classes. I think you can change social classes but, I think that is easier to go from middle class to lower rather than middle class to higher class.

There's high class, working middle class, lower middle class, poor, poverty. none of the classes are treated equally but all people seem to think they are better than someone else. It is not easy to change unless you are corrupt.

If your in the higher class it is easy for you to go down by loosing money.Lot of people are in the middle class because of the money make just enough to have a house above their heads. Low class is where people are homeless and don't or cant have jobs.

The world is divided into social classes the popular, the known, and the forgotten in my opinion any way, That's how the world has divided its self through out the years and its disappointing. Everyone is the same but the world puts them in their place when its our decision to decide where we want to be.
