At work sometimes I have 2 roles. Most of the time I’m the mechanic then sometimes I have to go up front and talk to customers and be ‘professional’ and act like I know what I’m doing.

I try to not act differently around different people because if they don’t like me for who I am thats on them. We act different because we want to be excepted that by that certain group.

One role I play when I’m at my house is a lazy and or hardworking weirdo because I am more relaxed in my house. At school, I’m only like that when I’m working with friends or I’m acting as the more reasonable person in our group. I think one reason we act different around different people depends on how relaxed and open we are with them during certain situations.

I also think comfort is a dictating factor in how we act.

Student, daughter, sister, friend etc. We act differently because certain behaviors are only appropriate in some situations and different people have different standards for you. We are more comfortable with some people than others and the same goes for situations, which causes us to act differently.

I play the role of daughter, sister, friend and much more. I would say we act differently with others depending on how comfortable we are with each person and the way we want to be perceived by certain people.

I can understand that, I just act ‘different’ because I constantly change and I’ll open up more to someone.

Everyone plays many roles: a friend, daughter/son, student, and many more. I personally act according to my surroundings, I apply the appropriate manners and etiquette to each situation. Our level of comfort or each destination dictates how we act around people.

I’m a daughter, sister, friend, student, teacher, martial artist, artist and sometimes have a caretaker role (babysitting). We are expected to act differently in each role. For example, as a student I’m aloud to goof of a little more than when I’m teaching. Our attitude toward things will affect how we act too. If we don’t want to do so,etching our attitude will be different and we’ll act different then if we want to do that task.

People have the ability to adapt, and it applies when certain attitudes are needed for others to understand each other, like how a teacher can be more affirmative and responsible. Sometimes I forget you teach Kung fu.

I am a daughter, sister, girlfriend, friend, student, and probably many other rolls on a daily basis. I think people act differently to shield themselves from judgments and opinions of other people.

I have two different roles. My usual unfriendly, rude self, and my polite and kind personality around adults. I tend to avoid adults as it takes too much out of me to be nice. We act differently in certain situations due to how it can reflect on ones reputation.

In my life I feel like I play many different roles. At home I play the role as an older sister. At work I play many different roles such as a barista or a cashier. We have many roles that we play because they show different sides of us that others don’t really see on a daily basis.

Some roles I play would be a daughter and a sister and a friend. People tend to act differently around certain people in different settings because they could be trying to fit it. If you don’t like me then don’t hang out with me I don’t really care

I play a daughter, in which I am very agreeable and submissive(most of the time) to whatever my my mother wants. My whole role is saying whatever she wants to hear so I don’t die. I also play the role of friend, in which I am louder and more annoying, but still very giving (ask and I’ll give you pretty much whatever). I can have a mean sense of humor though. I also sometimes play the role of worker, in which I am also more submissive. I live in constant fear of severely messing up.

Right now my major role is the guy who gets hurt constantly and likes to keep close friends on their toes. We act differently around different people because people desire to fit in. We change our message or interest for a each different audience as a way to appeal to everyone’s best interest helping us become popular.
