Media (journalism, advertisements, social networking, and entertainment) significantly influences thought in this society.

I strongly agree, I know I have been influenced to buy certain kinds of shoes or stop wearing a certain brand because of something someone posted online. When we are on social media all day wether we like it or not they are planting little seeds in our minds to think a certain way. Like an influecer bashing on a certain brand will cause some people to stop wearing or using their products.

Yes. I think that social media changed the way people think. Social media can be good and bad for people, but also it can spread false information.

Yes because people see the thoughts and opinions of somebody else and multiple other people that agree and think, oh if so many people agree with this then it must be right.

Yes, I think most stuff in society revolves around tech. A lot of people text instead of talking. Some people spend hours scrolling through social media platforms.

I agree that media has a big influence on society. Whether it be YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, or other social media, all of them can have both positive and negative effects. Sometimes they can help a person's mood, or give them some knowledge, and other times it can become too political or toxic, ruining a person's day, making them salty and toxic themselves.

Social media influences society. Social media allows people to write their opinion on everything and it can be hard for others. Social media can also spread false information and start rumors that can be damaging to users.

I believe this is very true, the everyday stuff you constantly see on your phone for example will start shaping your choices and thoughts. This is why people should push more positive ideas on social media so we become positive.

I think it is what influences us the most as a society. If you have an opinion or like something, you will naturally surround yourself with things that relate to your opinions.

Agree 100%! How could it not affect us, we spend so much of our day to day life on our devices. There are so many different platforms nowadays we get bored of one and can just go to the next.

I think this is true. I believe this because our generation is very influenced by the things they see and they think those things are things they should explore and experience.

I agree that media has a big influence on society. All different websites and apps can have both positive and negative effects. Sometimes they can help you learn something or sometimes it can just be stupid. Not all things on the internet can be trustworthy.

Media does have a role in our thoughts and opinions in this society. But so does our community. If a belief is popular and "normal" it will be the most common. A vast majority people tend to base their thoughts on their peers and surroundings. If one has a belief that strays from the popularized path of thought, then it will be seen as strange or invalid.

Absolutely! We imitate what we see. We have since we were little babies, it's our nature. What we see on the internet influences to look like, act like, and talk like. We act like our friends/groups and tend to copy what others do. This generations friends are pretty much online, so therefore we act like what we see online.

The media can be very useful to find things quickly and efficiently but when you go to the news side of media it starts to cause conflict and people aren't scared to share something online.

I think that social media impacts societal thinking to a degree, but in some aspects there is not as much as it may seem. Sometimes health, history, or politics-related information can be believed without that much research, and people may get so consumed by their opinion that they eradicate any room for new thinking, regardless of whether or not they have any knowledge on the subject. But like, I don't log onto Instagram to decide what I'll eat for lunch today because of the trends. I just go to Subway like a nerd.

Yes the media definitely plays a huge role in thought processes in modern society. Style, political opinions, music styles, and so much more has been changed by media, it influences people and gives our information. Either subtly merging everybody to be the same or exploring peoples differences, but either way influencing.

Yes. It does. And it does a little too much, we are all so addicted to the media that we can't go one day without checking our phones. It's gotten so bad, that i worry about our future and what is going to happen with technology

Yes. As we see media, we are often convinced that the opinions represented there are those shared by the majority, and if we don't have that view, we feel separated from our culture, and are possibly pressured to change our views.

I think that media has the biggest influence on modern society compared to anything else. It's how we expect to hear everything, and learn about topics, even if they are biased, or even just blatantly lying to us. We also enjoy mindlessly scrolling on social medias and doing nothing productive. Media is how someone can rally multiple people to a cause, even if its unjust or just a horrible cause. It also can cause someone's whole life to go down the drain. Take Johnny Depp for example, he did nothing wrong, in fact he had things done to him, but instead, people choose to destroy his whole career, for the benefit of a few likes on their crappy internet page. One article might not have much influence, but if you have multiple articles on the same topic, it starts to influence everyone's opinions.

The media allows us to see what we want to see and hear so it fuels our opinions even if they are false which can lead to some bad stuff. I feel that the media will be what we make because there is good and bad about it. We post wholesome things but, we also post insults, threats and hate on other people. I feel like now we depend on technology now and use it more than we really need to.
