How do you personally feel about the effectiveness of the United States' school system?

I feel it is for the most part ineffective, there are the growing number of high school drop outs and people who just stop showing up. I do not think it is right to force people to sit down for 7 or 8 hours a day and try to make them learn. If it was more physical it might have more of a kick of dopamine making it more effective and enjoyable.

I feel like the school system isn’t that great. I don’t believe that Americas schools do everything they can to educate kids. There are Other countries that have a better education rate other than America.

The school system isn't always the best because it can sometimes teach children the wrong things or try to teach them things that might just be opinion so I don't think its super effective all the time.

I think it's very ineffective. The main school system is still based around factorial times, which is meant to kill off creativity and become almost slave like in order to produce more products. However, there are a lot more jobs than just factory work these days, yet we still haven't changed the base of the system. Society is upgrading, yet the school system has barely been updated

I feel it is okay but people in charge of the school system put in little work to help the kids. They also give to much homework and they just don't understand that.

I'm not really sure, I guess it works, it's probably the least efficient it could be but it works for now.

The effectiveness of our school system is mediocre. Some schools are suffering from lack of funds and lack certain things students need. The scoops are too laid back and doesn’t challenge or help students enough.

I think it all depends on your teachers teaching abilities, because some teachers could not care about their students at all so they would then not learn anything. But then it also depends on the students will to learn and try in class so overall it is both good and bad.

I think that it is highly ineffective. Most schools are very low funded and give barely any opportunity to students for the most part. Along with the drop out rate rapidly increasing because of how advocated not needing school is.

I feel like the school system is unbalanced in how much resources and opportunities some schools shave over others. I feel like more gets put into the schools in rich towns that have money flowing through them and some school that are in towns of less wealth get left behind.

The effectivness of the the school system is pretty good in my opinion. They work us good and challenge us.

I think that the effectiveness of the school is very good but I think that the school teaches too many things that kids do not need to learn in their lives. I think that you are able to learn the basics but we don't need all of the subjects that we need unless we plan on learning about that and want to.

Without having personal experience with another way of schooling, I can say that the U.S. school system in adequate enough to move us along to the next stage in our life. Although, it is not the best. Students skip school and aren't even noticed, and testing plays little role in our education, yet it is still heavily stressed. While I do think our schooling system has some flaws, it could still be an okay foundation to build something better.

I think its good that we at least have a school system, but I think it could be more effective. I don't think we are given the attention that we need and we have far too much homework for all the activities and work we have after, plus it is still good to have family time. If we had smaller classroom (student wise, not classroom size) Then we could learn at more effective levels and be able to talk with each other more about our questions.

I think that the school system works really well for some and not as well for others. I don't see many flaws as long as it works for you individually, although there may be a great deal of stress. There should also be other schooling options available, such as homeschool, tutoring, unschool, and private schools.

I personally think that our school systems are falling off slowly. I just feel that before there were many ways to learn in enjoyable ways and some teachers aren't as enthused to teach.

Put the devil sign with your left hand on top of your right elbow and flick your right hand under your left elbow. Google that sign. That is the effectiveness of the US school system. I think they are teaching us how to learn which is good, but then they teach the wrong things. I think the U.S. should be more like Europe by letting kids choose their paths and base classes off of that. We should also be more understanding of special needs and disabilities. As well as differing opinions and religions.

Our school system is the absolute worst. We all learn differently, and the school system doesn't have different ways of learning. If we compare a fish to how well it climbs a tree it will always be deemed as stupid. This is how I view the school system. Where as a monkey would have no problem

No I do not think it is effective, I don't think you should have to sit down for 8 hours a day, also I think you should have a choice to be in school.

I think that the school system has flaws, but it has advanced much since earlier forms. As our knowledge and understanding expands, students in school systems are granted more knowledge at a younger age, and with the standardization of education, (although it does cause some students to fall through the cracks) education is now being able to be brought to many more groups of people world-wide that might never receive it or at least not to the same extent.

I think we need to change the school system, but I think for the time being, it still works. There are a lot of flaws, but if your teacher can actually teach, then its really good. I do think we need to rely a little less on homework and just giving a kid a textbook and an assignment, and just letting them have at it.

I feel that there are a lot of flaws in our school systems. Learning so much all at once is super stressful and I feel we don't retain things as well this way. I feel like if we were to learn one subject at a time throughout a school year would help us to get all our homework done and retain what we learned. But on a different note I have to say that I'm glad we have a national education so that I can have the opportunity to learn things at all.
